    11850038 is finished

It took nearly 2 years, and with the exception of installing the vintage REPA belts, our '68 S soft window Targa is finally finished. All numbers match and it drives and sounds fantastic. Bruce Baker, Bill Boys of Possum Hollow Motorsports and Jim Quartermus of Classic German Interiors did a simply great job and I had a blast sourcing the necessary parts. The special order "zitronen gelb" exterior color and B&W pepita interior really go well together and the "funky" factory Talbots and original 100 liter tank really make it a rare bird. Hope you guys enjoy seeing it and thanks for all of the help. The black and white photo is of Tim Kuser, the original US owner in the early '70's.
    Have a great New Year!

Beautiful! You all must have done a lot of work to get it done over the last 2 years.

Hope mine looks like that in a few years!

Just watched the YouTube of the first engine startup after rebuild.

Size: 107.1 KBRaj, etal....here are a few interior shots as requested. Sorry the pictures are not any better...I am not a very good photographer. The elephant hide door panels, and lower dash as well as the two piece upper dash are all original, simply cleaned and lubricated. The door pockets were all bent out of shape so Jim Quartermus made forms and clamped them shut under heat lamps for several days to return to original shape. The car was a dealer car in Nurnberg, West Germany for the first two years and was loaded up with options beyond the COA: (100 liter tank, twin factory Talbot's, noise suppression, loudspeaker, antenna and a spare parts kit). The dealer, Autohaus Krausse, added a Webasto heater, Hella lamps, wood steering wheel and a Blaupunkt Frankfurt radio. We tried our best to restore the car to "as imported" in 1970 when Tim Kuser bought it from an ad in the New York Times. Kuser added a pair of Recaro sport seats with B&W pepita cloth which I have as well.
    Hope you enjoy,
    John
