    Great story...

    BUT, this is an unrestored, original condition 911 from 67. And he takes THIS car for the trip ???

    not the same one ? Think it is, see:

    1966 Porsche 911 SWB, with the carburettor trumpets partially taped-over to prevent them icing up. The only other modifications were the studded winter tyres. The car is unrestored and totally original.

    Correct not the same car. The road trip car has chrome front overriders, no fog lights and two external mirrors, the other car has one mirror, no front overriders and fog lights. Cool story though, thanks for sharing the link. Love the shot of the Northern lights with the 911. Makes me cold just to think about that trip.
