That is a crazy place for the mirror. What were they thinking?

Very interesting options as the description states "original red carpet".

This car is also coming out of the Oldenburg car collection so there must be something special, you think about this car.

I wonder why Oldenburg didn't reposition the mirror while they had it leading me to think there is special story behind its placement.

It would be very interesting to know more about this car.

In 1968 Red Perlon (not really carpet) was available and would be correct, although unusual. I would be surprised if this car had Red Perlon, as this color Perlon hasn't been available for years. I would guess that it has Red replacement low pile carpet.

Photos of interior show a VERY correct/minty looking interior with red perlon carpet. Lot of value to any wealthy Parisian collector due to Sonauto provenance (note their badge on rear engine lid along with cool grill badges). Also note the two different euro rear lenses... Left side has a clear back up light section, right side is yellow. I like this 911, but not at the estimated selling price.

Those sure look like later, flat Fuchs too, not correct 5.5s. Pretty car though, and I really like '68 S's.

I can't tell for sure that is Red Perlon. It appears to me, to be Red low pile carpet, but I am unsure. Maybe you have a better monitor that I do
