This 356B Coupe was kept by the previous owner since 1973. It was a daily driver for many years and has been well maintained. It is an original Ivory with Red interior car that was last repainted in the late 1980’s. The paint and body is driver quality with some minor blistering from age in the roof and a couple of cracks in the paint on the right front cowl. The rest of the car is very presentable as a driver, with the trim being in very good shape.

The interior features leather seats and very nice Oatmeal carpets. Gauges and trim are quite presentable, again, keeping with the driver quality of this car. The headliner is just okay, with some staining and a few minor splits in the rear quarters.

The pans have been replaced, piecemeal, over the years. It reflects how this car was used and it being an inexpensive car at one point. The important parts are solid longitudinals and torsion tube.

Where this car really shines is in the mechanicals. It has been converted to dual master cylinder disc brakes. They work very well and inspire great confidence when stopping the car. That is nice as this 356 has a very strong motor built to SC specs. It includes bigger cams and a big bore kit as well as a sport exhaust. This is a 356 that has some wonderful grunt and is an absolute blast to drive. It truly surprised me when I took it out for a spirited run. This is not the numbers matching motor. The gearbox is also excellent, with absolutely no issues. In addition, the electrics have been updated to 12 volt.

I do have a correct 1600 Super motor that is also date correct for this car that I will sell or negotiate into the purchase of this car.

This 356B would make a great driver as is or a great basis for an Outlaw or GT style Coupe. Asking $27,000 or reasonable offers contact keith@racectc.com
