Thanks, the black one, is from the dashboard line, started in 2008, using an ETA 2894 mecanism.
the silver one uses a Valjoux (nice) macanism and as far I remeber went out in 2004/2005

The two are too modern, even nice. I am looking for the first Porsche Design watch, using an Orfina mecanism :

    Thanks !

I am following several on various sites, however I wish to ask our honorable members - if I can find one within the trusted community, it would be better for the seller and the buyer

    Cheers

Just to clarify what you are asking for.....
You pictured 2 different types of Orfina Porsche Design watches and Orfina was the manuafacturer of the watch case, bracelet and dial/hands, but they all used movements (engines) of either Valjoux 7750 for the black one on the left, or LeMania 5100 for the 'silver' one on the right.
The first series valjoux 7750 Orfina chrono, was designed in 1972 and was the first Porsche Design product. The first serie had 'Orfina' printed on the dial and Orfina loo on the crown and bracelet. Then gradualy everything was changed to PD logo including on the dial. The first case of the watch had a sharp edge near the glass/cristal, later it got a more rounded edge.
They kept that rounded edge in place with changing to the LeMania 5100 movement, but the case was a couple of mm's higher to accomodate the new movement.
Your asking list is all Military versions of the Orfina PD with Lemania 5100, so its a later style late 70's / early 80's watch you are looking for. (I think they switched somewhere around 78)

Pictured are the 2nd series Valjoux 7750 (with all PD logo's but still the sharp edged housing) and 4th series with Lemania 5100 in regular version <not military>)
The big difference in functionality is that the Lemania 5100 had a 24 hour indication in the dial. The minute function of the chrono is done by an extra hand on the center of the dial. (Same movement as used on many other military watches and Omega Speedmaster Mark 4.5)
You can see the difference in height and finish. The early years where some kind of Powder Coating that wears off easily, later versions had more tough PVD coating.
