    What is the process?

I'm going to use a new radio that is done in the size and shape of the original radio that came with the car the car is a 1969 911 E by the way.

Any help is much appreciated, thanks.

Depends on what is under the faceplate. And what the radio you are replacing it with looks like.
Take the knobs off and remove the faceplate.

The guys at Woody's are pretty helpful, you should ask them about mounting. The factory radio had the basket weave glued to a steel sheetmetal substrate that fits into the aluminim channel on the dash.

The original radios also had a bracket on the back that was attached to the firewall. This helps keep them in one place. Check how your current radio is attached in the rear.

Cool thanks that is what I was wondering. My car is a driver, so right now I'm not worried about putting an original radio in it.

I will give them a call. They say in their auctions they make a faceplate for the radio but I have not seen it on ebay.

If anyone has one from woody's how is the sound out of the radio?
