Found this Porsche wheel but I'm not sure which model it goes to...

Standard four spoke early 911 wheel, 420mm diameter, leather cover, steel spokes and absolutely NO part number. It does have a "VDM 64" stamped on it. I would assume it is from a 64-65 911 but I figured someone here would know for sure.

Thoughts on value as I don't really have a use for it?

I believe the '67S was the first year a leather covered 420 was offered. You could get either a wood or leather covered wheel as an option starting that year.

Jeff, I would guess that this is an older but higher quality recovering of the wheel. Could it be possible that it was not leather covered originally?

It's definitely been recovered - the area at the outer ends of the spokes is not how the Factory did it.

The '64' is not a date code - I believe it's the batch number.

    Ok boys and girls,

    Put a magnet on that baby....if it sticks....chances are it ain't a 64'!

Can't tell ya who stitched it.... I don't know why the sixty-four is there and I don't really care.....but if that baby is aluminum, I'll buy it for my "sixty four"!

Hijack! You only want aluminum? I've got a couple of early wood/steel wheels...

I don't know about the stitching but the wheel and center looks just like the one I took off my 67 s last week.
