From the link Chuck posted, they are steel tube frame, fiberglass body. Triumph TR3 engine and front suspension. DeDion rear suspension replacing the TR3's solid axle. One of the co-founders of the "Warwick" car company (as the car was originally called) had connections to Triumph's executives. When they were looking to start production in the US they found a factory that had been producing or working on Peerless army trucks. There was also an Ohio based car company by the name of Peerless which had stopped producing cars. The "Warwick" car was renamed "Peerless" to try to build on the good reputation of the name.

They were a very light weight full coupe, especially when they were prepped for racing. Running full TR race running gear they were a car to be reckoned with. The first one I saw was at a slalom in the late 60's, it was full race and dominated it's class. Not sure how they would be on the street... probably another little quirky British sports car...

The pictures posted here flatter them - especially the one in Lars' posting - in the 'flesh' I always thought they were quite ugly ...
I looked at a few back in '69 before buying a TVR Grantura.
