    FS: @Copart.com - Possibly a 67 911S project car???

I just saw this ad and thought someone might be interested if the price was low enough.
Could be a 67S hiding under that updated body.

The VIN is listed as 3066595 which is one to many digits, the last "5" could possibly be an "S".
Not many clues from the pictures, but it looks like it has the "S" chrome strip on upholstery trim under the back window.

Hi guys new to thread I buy a lot of salvage 911s through Copart. I saw this coupe last week in peson, the front trunk vin is all bondo on the metal stamp panels. I have pics where I scraped the heavy undercoat off revealing pink body filler all over the vin panel ledge by gas tank. I suspect it was a vin switch in its day.

Can you please show us the photos you took before the auction starts?

Sounds like the talk of a bidder wanting to scare away the competition. But, then again, I'm a curmudgeon.

    Regards

    Jim
PS I used to buy many 911s from Copart when they required bidders to actually have a valid Dealer or Dismantler license.

$12,400 is what it went for. Someone either got a screamin' deal on an MY 67S built in '66 or a set of S numbers and a bunch of decent parts. We didn't bid because there was a question about its provenance, so if that was a ploy, it worked.

Sounds like a deal if it just has the motor and drivetrain.
