FS: Factory/OEM silver button 10K Tach & 180 MPH Speedo

    Guys,

Was debating for two days weather to keep the 180MPH or my 300 KPH speedo that is in the car......But, need to help pay for my ST flares, so one set is up for sale.

Factory OEM, not conversion 10K Tach (silver button) and 180 MPH (silver button) Speedo.

Sorry about the picture quality but not great with a camera. Tried to get shots of the part numbers under the glass, but can't get it to focus good enough to read.

    Part number on Speedo is : 911 641 506 00 Dated 5,73

Part number on Tach : 901 741 302 06 Cant find a date on the Tach, but is a 73 or earlier and with proper part number confirming this.

Speedo is in excellent condition all around. The Tach has some surface corrosion on the side and rear (see picture). Is not visible when in car and no affect on function.

No problem with a quick inspection period after funds received. $1550 for the pair delivered in U.S

    Will not separate

If interested, please email me at whiskina1@aol.com

    Thanks for looking.

Your tach is SWB and the speedo is LWB in case you care.

I think you're right. One has the bracket mount and the other has a compression mount. Both very cool though.

I have a 80"s dated 10K original tach and it also has threaded studs and silver dot. I believe all 10K tachs had the studs.

Factory sport tach is 901 741 302 06, as shown above; sold well into the 80's through Porsche parts. Never changed or updated from it's appearance in '68 or so, and sold without a redline. If it was delivered on a car (like an S/T), there would be a redline on the face.

Even with std tachs, '69 LWB models had the gauges with threaded studs/brackets ...

and...if you ordered a replacement tach for your '68 or '69, say in the early '70's, it would have a corresponding 'early '70's' date stamp, yet would also have the 68-69 threaded shafts for the bracket mount.

still the OD of the tach is the same as the compression mount tach, so it would fit, and be perfectly acceptable in a later car.
