    FS: @Holt Motorsports - '72T Viper Green

I happened to be at Tim's shop over the holidays looking at several white 911's that he has for sale (I love white cars) and noticed he had a car in the back corner under a cover. I asked what it was and he said it was a restored '72T. Tim's had it for a while and wasn't actively selling it on his website....but it was for sale. The car was a trade-in and restored to mint/concours condition by the previous owner. Tim has all the paperwork / documentation since day one. The car is 100% numbers matching engine, trans, etc....and in its original color of viper green with black interior. Beautiful is an understatement to describe the car....
He's asking in the neighborhood of $60K. Here's a link from Tim's website that shows the car in the background behind some of his other cars.

I've visited Holt on a couple occasions and Tim is a very knowledgeable seller. His reputation on Rennlist's 993 board is very good and he has been known to make good on issues that pop up after the sale, even though there are no warranties associated with the sale.

Agreed that he has nice products but I wish he'd post prices. Almost like "I'll show you mine if you show me yours". It's a real turn off.
I guess it cuts down on tire kickers. Perhaps a perceived "gold like" flux in prices keeps a man from being but so up-front with what he's willing to advertise.
No broker, car salesman or flipper wants to leave money on the table whether real or not.

I'm with you Tom. I don't under stand why sellers wont post prices. My first thought is always "he must be asking to much", then I move on to the next car.

I'll tell exactly why some sellers don't post prices. It is a psychological theme that sellers use to require you, the buyer, to ask the price. Like a child coming to a parent to receive permission for a piece of cake.
Putting the seller in first position......and the buyer in second position. It's a salesman trick that has been done for centuries.

When I don't see price..........I never call. I don't care how bad I want the item. No price posting is a sucker game.

Same here...I will never call when the seller doesn't post a price. It always makes me think the seller wants too much. Afterall, if it's a hell of a deal, the price will always be posted.

The only thing more annoying than not posting prices, is page after page of cars labeled as"sold".

well, the flip side is that it makes it so the seller doesn't have to go back and edit the price everytime he lowers it...not to mention the psychological effect on a buyer knowing that the car was X last week and now is Y. 'Seller must be ready to dump at that price...otherwise he wouldn't of lowered it'.

With that said, I too hate the lack of prices being listed
