Daniel Schmitt & CO of St. Louis strikes again.

I have met him a few times, few people have a lesser conscience.

Wow. That is a shame, and somewhat incredible. I think I've read that same kind of "restoration" language, and that ad layout sure looks familiar, huh??!!

EBay really needs to crack down on Daniel Schitt & Co. Cars. Their ads always look great and are nice and "shiny". However, they must spend a lot of time photographing the cars to ensure that the rust & other defects do NOT appear in the photos.

But it's so shiny and green!

    VIN: 9112210784 (for posterity)
    "Seller's" ad copy
Unfortunately, I recently purchased a car from ebay, it was described to me as: ' This incredible motorcar has been beautifully restored and is now ready to be shown or driven. ' + 'We are proud to offer this exceptional investment grade 911e to the most particular collector, investor, or enthusiast who understands and appreciates the investment potential of this great classic. Bid with confidence-this just might be one of the best finds on eBay! .'
What did I get... I summarize it in saying a project! Which is far, so far from what I was looking or wanted and most of all I got the opposite the promised 'BEST'.
Now I want to sell the car. But read carefully the discription. !
COA Porsche document is not in the car , no MFI, 4-speed ( not 5-speed), light metal wheels are NOT original Fuchs, but cheap imitations.
(is the car really matching number ??)
Whole car is full of filler
Rust holes are filled with thin layer of fille
Rear Deck, can not be mounted, chassic inside is rotten from rust
Front Fender Left , rust holes on the inside filled with Teflon tape
Front Fender right, holes on the bottem side
Front Bumper is completely rust holes
Rear Panel, filler and fiber mats
Chassis left, inner sill outer sill, pieces welded
Chassis right, painted on the rust over inner sill
Rusted doors on left and right on bottom
Hood completely rust full of filter
Chrome frames are glued on the chassis, and let loose
Door and window on driver are skewed
Almost all rubbers are loose or badly glued.
On almost all rubbers sits paint
Driver's seat, the frame is broken
Wheelhouse rubber, left and right torn
Air condition is not working at all.
    Hazard is not working
    Beam is not working
    One window does not close
    Gearbox oil leaks
Engine block is leaking a lot of oil (it trickles out)
Heat exchanger is sprayed with silver flammable paint
    Oil level transmitter is unusable
All rubbers in the suspension are porous or rotten
Raised wheel HUB steerwheel is not in the car !
    (The steering has exceeding play)
Radio “Frankfurt” is not in the car !
    Shock absorbers are worn
    Head gaskets must be replacement
Wiper pump and watertank is MISSING
The car has at sometime been hit on the left rear quarter, just behind the door and the repair wasn't best. Rust on the lower right torsion bar support outside, not easy to fix.
    ETC.
After this sale, I will make a digital manual and then sell it on eBay.
In this manual we will write about how a car is being put up for sale on eBay and in what state the car actually is. We will use pictures of the car that I purchased from seller as an example. We will also do this for the texts , put in the advertisements and the reality.

I called about this car when being sold by Schmitt. When they could provide no detail of restoration despite claiming fully restored I reluctantly backed away after a Uk specialist advised it could be too shiny to be true. He said buy an unrestored car so you can see what's there rather than have it potentially covered. I am now extremely thankful for that advice. My sympathy to the buyer, there but for the grace of God (or a wise Uk specialist) could have gone I.

Not quite sure what this particular car was listed at. I could not find anything related to this car under Schmitt's seller profile. Also, I am very surprised that Schmitt has 100% feedback.
