    FS: Very Early Turbo Tail ('76)

    This Tail came with a Silver 72E that was widebodied & Shorthooded by B & B in Germany in the Late 70's. The Car and Tail were in dry, warehouse storage since 1979 when the prior owner started stripping the car for a color change. It is fiberglass bonded to steel. Rubber is in absolutely perfect, non cracked, non warped, condition. I haven't been able to locate a part no., but have compared it to photos of other factory tails and it's of the same construction. Small back grills were used on the very early cars - '76?

    I was going originally thinking of keeping the car shorthood and do a 3.0 RS Replica. But, have decided to make the effort to return the car to longhood.

    Happy to answer any questions. $850. Shipping will have to be determined. I have the facilities to strap to a pallet and ship by truck.

    Sam,

    I disassembled a 100% complete and original 1976 Turbo tail yesterday. I found the part number on the brace that the latch pin is bolted to. It was painted over and not stamped very deeply, but it was there. See if the paint flakes off in that area ... it might reveal a part number.
