    Steering Wheel Restoration/Storage

I want to clean-up and otherwise conduct a light restoration on my original steering wheel (1972 911). I just want to condition the leather and brighten the rest and then put it away in proper storage.

    Suggestions?

PS - My Prototipo stays in the car!

For the leather, the high-end crowd (Bentleys, Ferrarri,s, etc.) swears by Leatherique products. The two I've used with good success are their Cleaner & Rejuvenator. Their website is at http://www.leatherique.com/

I don't know if they provide it in small quantities. I have what is probably a lifetime supply and I'd be glad to send you a small bottle of each for your wheel.

Edit: Just saw that for a radical refurbishment they have a steering wheel kit - http://www.leatherique.com/steering-wheels.html

Thanks John! I'd gladly pay for the small bottles for the leather (PM me). How about the rest of the wheel? Good old Armor All? Or something better?
