Identifying Original Headlights - Gathering Data

Hi John,
In Australia the driver sits on the right side of the car,the angular flute on the lens is also on the right side of the car as per left hand Bosch picture above.

That is good news. So does the flute actually direct the light to the opposite side of its location on the lens?

I think the position of the fluted area and the way it seems to not match what you would expect is due to refraction (not a spelling mistake) of the light beam......but then again I could be wrong!

As a sidebar to this thread, especially if turned into an article, it may be good to also show the various versions of Boides. Mike has shown the Cibies, Russ has shown some yellow Marchals, I have some Carrellos that i can get some better detailed photos of (poor picture attached) , apart from the different colors of each type are there any others?

Mike, those Cibie's are spectacular. Here's Marchal's "lesser" version... maybe someone will post some clear ones too.

Is it correct, that whichever side the pie area is on when sitting in the car, should be on the same side that the driver is sitting when driving? Nomatter if they are Bosch or Hella?...Also, I read somewhere that Hellas have slotted screws & Bosch has the Phillips type screws!?
