mystery seat base regular recaro comfort seat with double lockers?

did any of the seat bases for the comfort recaro come as a double locker? I'm guessing by the vinyl and seat belt receiver that its from 72-73
    anyone seen this before?

Hmm. My 73S is a double locker, but only one handle. It uses a cable that runs across the inside of the pan to activate the lock on the other side. Feb 1973 build.

My vinyl looked just like yours, as does the the seat belt warning pressure pad connection sticking out the centre of the bottom of the seat pan.

No factory seat ever had two locking sliders with individual handles. The double lockers were joined by rod or cable.

Perhaps the cable broke and someone replaced the "slave" slider with another "master".

are there locking slots on both sides of the chassis on a lwb( tunnel side and rocker side)?
I see the swb has them only on the rocker side and its a detachable slotted part with a slide bolted to it.

check! didnt know about the cable buried under the pan, also didnt know LWB had locking slots on both sides per seat, learn a little everyday.

As far as these bases, instead of fixing the cable that links both sides, someone rigged this seat with another lever. On the other matching base, whoever rigged that lever must have been the one who disabled the double locking teeth by breaking the notches so it would not lock. Real crappy work if you ask me.
