    Gauging Interest: 67/68 Sport Seat Bases

    Looking to check interest in fabricating tilt/lock seat bases for 67/68 sport seats. The bases would be made from metric dimensioned stock and painted sem-gloss black. Hinges would be as original.

    Not included would be the seat slides and mounts and the Recaro knobs. I have modified coupe seat slides to work with the sport seat lock/slides.

    The irons are available from a vendor on the S Registry site. Knobs can be easily sourced.

    I would like to make 5 to 10 pairs. I am projecting a cost of $1600.00 per pair plus shipping.

    If there is interest, I think the project could be complete in 4 months.

    Vintage Seats is already making these and will be ready shortly to offer to other enthusiasts.
    We are also making the sliders too which are also in production. They have been made to be identical to the originals in every aspect.

    If you want to give me your email, I'll be happy to let you know when I have them in my hand and you can order a pair from me.
    My offering price was going to be cheaper also.
