Error?
I'm waiting on one as we speak. They are going to list it as having the comfort group, when in fact it has the appearance group. I notice yours lists the comfort group also. A mistake on yours, too?
JR
There was a discussion about "comfort group" vs "appearance group" a while ago. Your car does not have a "comfort group" The folks that make up these certificates need to do a better job of translating. I just look at it as another reason not to waste money on that useless piece of paper.

My COA was full of errors. It said the car had leather in fact it had leatherette, it said the car was Polo Red but then stated a paint code that was for a different color.
Most of the time the COAs get the make of car correct.
The car does have a front S bumper and was built in 01/72.

My 73.5's COA had an option called "with spoilers"- given the car's originality, it seemed that it was simply referring to the optional S split-chin spoiler on the front. I agree with most that the "lost in translation" thing allows for some creative interpretations on these COAs.

My 73.5's COA had the same rear spoiler option. The car has the S bumper, that must be what it means.
Agree...the COA's are almost useless. Before they would complete mine, they asked me to send them a picture of the VIN decal in the drivers door jam. In addition, they asked me about the features on the car, so I told them what they were.....The COA I got back had exactly the info I told them (they did add Pirelli tires)...failed to mention several of the other options.
These are just a great way for PCNA to put $100 in their pocket and give dolts like us some sort of official looking piece of paper that somehow makes us feel better.
Unfortunately, most of us know this going in, yet the hopeless dreamer that resides in all of us takes over and we dole out the $100 bucks and get our useless piece of paper.....and I was first in that line...<grin>....DM
Well, for all the problems with the COAs, assuming you have a numbers matching car and assuming PCNA got the engine and transmission numbers correct, I submit that its worth the $100 when it's time to sell your car.
