Anodized S trim under door on outer rocker

Last month I ordered a pair of the outer rocker mouldings for a 73S from Stoddard. I'm talking about the piece that runs from the leading edge of the front fender back under the door and covers the torsion bar cover plate about half way. This piece has a trim cap on both ends. So when I put it up for a fit check, it was about 2" short. I double checked the fit, and they were for sure about 2" short. I though these must be for a 68 911L SWB. So I called my salesman and he got back to me saying I had the correct ones. "once you get the end caps on, you will see thay are correct". So up they went again, and I taped the end caps in place. 2" short. I returned them. They measured 57" from long point to long point. Does anyone have a pair, or one, laying around so you could measure it and see what you have for measurements?

Thanks so much. All I have are RS ones kicking around that have the curve for the rear flare, so I can't really measure them. I'm going to direct my salesman at Stoddard to this thread, as he still thinks he is right.

Just called Stoddard and reported our findings. Seems that they took my word about the issue,, and contacted Porsche a month ago. All U.S. stock, and Germany has bad trim that was cut wrong. He said about 30 more days before correct stuff is available.
On another note, I asked if Porsche had ever done anything about the replacment dash problem with bad fit. He replied that it had been within the last 60 days. He stocks them and has sold about 10 since November, and there is NO fit problem reported. If there was a problem still, he said he would have heard for sure.
