    Dealer Description:

We are excited to offer on behalf of one of our long time customers, this extremely well kept and highly desirable 1967 Porsche 911S Coupe in beautiful Gulf blue! For many years, 2shores has been offering selected first grade examples of collectible automobiles. This outstanding early 911S Coupe is one of those rare offerings!

The 1967 911S was the very first S (Super) model in the still young 911 series. The earliest editions of the 911 had an air-cooled, rear-mounted, 2.0 L 130 hp flat-6 "boxer" engine, similar to the 356's four-cylinder 1.6 L unit. It was mated to a five-speed manual "Type 901" transmission. The styling was largely by Ferdinand "Butzi" Porsche, son of Ferdinand "Ferry" Porsche. Erwin Komenda, the leader of the Porsche car body construction department, was also involved in the design.

In 1967, Porsche introduced the more powerful 160 hp 911S (Super). This model started the long legacy of the potent 911S model, a tradition still held up today by Porsche, promising top performance and options! The 1967 short wheel base 911S is often called the most desirable 911S of all times, the Grand Daddy of all 911S models!

Our car on offer comes from one of our long term customers, a true Porsche aficionado. It has been maintained in fantastic shape by the best in the industry. The car came to him in 2014 from a well-known collector and Pebble Beach participant, who bought it in 2006.

In 2016, the vehicle was fully serviced by Porsche specialist Ed Mayo in Texas and has very few miles since.

Finished in gorgeous and sought after Gulf blue (96-6603-L) over black houndstooth interior, the car is truly an amazing sight. It runs and drives perfect and is turn key ready to be taken on any of the most prestigious international tour events or simply a spirited back road drive. The performance and the sounds these early 911s create when pushed towards redline are priceless!

100% rust-free with perfect gaps and tolerances; the car comes with correct tools, spare and jack as well as original owner’s manual and many records for service over the years.

A wonderful opportunity to acquire one of very few, early short wheel base 911S models out there. Certainly one of the very best! All # matching! Located in Monterey, MX. Pre purchase inspections welcomed! Worldwide shipping is gladly arranged!

I’d like to learn more about this car. I’d like to find a high quality 67S Coupe. It seems the previous threads have “aged out”. Anyone able to direct me to previous commentary? Thanks! Jason

I’m not sure what Doug meant by the reference to the previous thread. I personally know both the car and owner. Car is exceptional, with great provenance coming from one of the best collections and collectors in Mexico. Current owner is a gentleman and enthusiast that has taken exceptional care of the car. If I had the resources and in search for an outstanding 67 S this would definitely be a car to consider.

I think the post Doug quoted was sarcastic in tone, i.e. it doesn’t contradict how you described the car

Nothing was intended other than referencing a previous post that included the chassis number of this beautiful car.

Might want to add that for EUR55,000 you’re getting a 911S body needing a repaint and interior refresh. And that’s leaving out the missing engine and transmission.

    Dealer Description:

One-Owner 1970 Porsche 911S, Numbers Matching, Original Colors, California Car!

This wonderful 1971 Porsche 911S was delivered new at the Porsche factory in Stuttgart to its first and only owner. Mr. J. Korbin of Lompac, CA purchased this 911S and used it while he was stationed with the US Air Force in Germany. He kept the car with him in Europe for about 3 years and had his local Porsche dealer bring the car back to his home in California. Mr. Korbin, an Air Force man his entire career would cherish, and meticulously maintain his 911S until his passing in 2016. The drivers front turn lens still adorns the Department of Defense Vandenberg AFB entrance badge. The car was then kept by his wife and driven and maintained by her until 2021. Mr. Korbin left a journal of hand written notes from the day the car returned back from Germany in 1974 through 2016. Every gas stop, every oil change, valve job etc is written down. Major service notes include a full engine rebuild in 2006 along with new clutch and brakes. About $20,000 worth of service records since 2014 include new fuel pump, rebuilt MFI System, new stainless exhaust and heat exchangers, new Capacitive Discharge (CD Box), new alternator, new front and rear Bilstein shocks, and new driver seat upholstery. A recent PPI showed compression of 165 PSI across all 6 cylinders.

The car was repainted in its correct Light Ivory exterior in the early 2000's. The paint and cosmetics show quite well. Brand new Pirelli CN36 tires from Sept. 2021 wrap the dated coded 10/70 15"x6" Fuchs Wheels. The 911S specific aluminum rear deck lid is present and in great condition. The underside is very clean and rust free as one would expect of a garaged, California, loved 911S. The car runs and drives very nicely. The MFI was recently rebuilt and engine has great compression as not many miles since the rebuild in 2006. The transmission shifts well and steering and brakes are tight. One minor paint chip on top of passenger fender and a light scratch on rear deck lid. Included with the car are original owners books, the journal of mileage and service history, California 911S C Blue Plate, original European delivery plates from Stuttgart 1970, recent service records, tool roll, date coded Fuchs spare wheel, and an email from David J. Pateman (Kardex Expert, COA) that this car is a true numbers matching and color example. This car is being sold from a reassigned California title in the Korbin's name, so whoever purchases this car will be the 2nd registered owner.
