Other than the low mileage, I did not see any other exceptional characteristics that would justify the asking price for the '73 coupe.

Auction Description:
- History of Ownership by Dedicated Porsche Enthusiasts
- Sympathetically Restored over Many Years
- Documented with Porsche COA and Restoration Invoices
- Accompanied by Owner’s Manual and Tool Kit
- Ideal for Exhibition at Porsche Club Shows and Rallies
According to a Porsche Certificate of Authenticity, chassis 9110301243 was assembled on March 25, 1970. Specified for the US, the car was equipped with the comfort package, tinted glass, and was finished in silver metallic paint over a black leatherette interior. As clarified by invoices, by 1996, the 911 S was acquired by Frank Lograsso of Rocklin, California. It then passed in late 2001 to David Johnson of nearby Petaluma, who conducted sympathetic work, including the addition of Hella fog lamps and black sport seats with houndstooth inserts. In mid-2007, the Porsche was purchased by Richard Diehl of San Jose, California, and he retained marque specialist Jerry Woods of Campbell, California, to refurbish the car mechanically and cosmetically, while Harvey Weidman of Oroville, California, restored the Fuchs wheels.
Acquired in September 2011 by collector Steve Adler of New Vernon, New Jersey, the 911 was treated to a full engine-out service and re-anodizing of the trim by Rare Drive of East Kingston, New Hampshire. Accompanied by a tool kit and owner’s manual, this authentically presented Porsche would complement any collection and be certain to captivate Stuttgart enthusiasts worldwide.

“The 911S 2.7 engine was rated at a conservative 175 HP” ☝️☝️☝️ Someone should tell them what’s what. 2.4 and 190 HP.
