    Auction Description:

    - French title
    - Delivered new in Germany with special paintwork
    - Full chassis-up restoration completed in 2018
    - Only 1492 'S' versions built in 1969

This 911 S 2.0L was delivered new in Germany on 21 July 1969 finished in 'Signal Yellow', a special order colour, with an interior in black leatherette, as the Porsche certificate with the car confirms. Imported from the USA by its current owner in 2015, the car has undergone a complete restoration, and we invite you to look at the file and photographs. After being completely stripped down, this 911 S is now in superb condition, as can be seen from the valuation report. The body and underbody were completely restored and any damaged parts replaced, before an anti-corrosion treatment and new paint were applied. The flat-six, which is not the original engine (but is correct for the model and year), was also fully restored. The running gear and braking system were restored, as were the fuel tank, pipes, wiring loom, interior trim and seat upholstery. The wheel alignment, engine set-up and various tests, as well as getting the car registered, were the final stages in bringing this magnificent classic Porsche back to life. The total cost of this iconic car (including purchase and restoration) was in excess of 200,000€, making its estimated price particularly attractive, and enthusiasts will make no mistake about it.

    Auction Description:

    - French title
    - Impressive folder of invoices
    - Original color, matching numbers
    - Most powerful version, wih the targa roof

This Porsche 2.4S Targa was registered new on January 12, 1973. The husband of its current owner acquired it in the Pyrénées-Atlantiques in June 2005. The car was repainted in its original colour, a clear ivory (reference 131) and still has its matching numbers 2.4S engine. A large folder of invoices testifies to the various works done on it, in particular in June 2021 regarding the repair of the gearbox, the replacement of the flywheel oil seal, the clutch disc, and the adjustment of the front shock absorbers for an amount of more than €4,000. The car's owner has recorded conscientiously, in a small notebook, the evolution of the mileage since 2007, when the 911 displayed 51,623 km on the odometer; since then it has reached just short of 60,000! Equipped with period green tinted windows and a circuit breaker, this 2.4S comes with an appraisal carried out in 2017. Our examination revealed the beginnings of perforating corrosion on the level of the driver's floor, one which is easily repairable. Having been driven very little recently, the car could do with an overhaul and the usual checks before it starts delighting the new owner.

    Auction Description:

    - Only 422 examples in Targa "Soft Window" version
    - Original engine and colours
    - Known history and beautiful used patina.

Even if the 911 S was not marketed in the United States in 1968 due to anti-pollution regulations, this Porsche 911 S Targa "Soft Window" entered American soil via a special order placed by Porsche Car Southest, Inc in Jacksonville, Florida. Upon arrival, it was shipped to local dealer RBM of Atlanta, Inc. and sold to its first owner Mr. Bonk, who then kept it for 44 years! In 2012, this 911 S Targa "Soft Window" was sold to a professional, specialist in classic Porsche cars. After fitting a new Targa seal, refurbishing the Fuchs wheels and restoring the suspension arms, the car was sold to a local collector who stored it at his home before recently reselling it to the same dealer. With a mileage of 83,600 miles (137,000 km) and a unique patina, this 911 gives off an incredible charm. The original leather seats which had been removed and stored for several decades are in perfect condition. The rear seats, door panels, dashboard and original instruments are also in good condition; only the carpets were changed in 2012. The engine was recently overhauled by a Porsche specialist, while the gearbox and braking system are perfectly usable and reliable. "Matching numbers", this charming Porsche 911 S Targa "Soft Window" has a tool kit, a jack, its spare wheel and its set of numbered keys. It comes with its Porsche certificate of authenticity, the owner's manual, its original price sheet showing factory options which was showcased onto the car's window at the dealership. To complete the history of this car and reinforce its unique character, the Californian black plates, the first provisional title issued in 1968 and registration certificates from 2012 to 2019 will be provided. This is an attractive choice, with characteristics which are sure to seduce the most demanding classic Porsche enthusiasts.

    Auction Estimate:

    - Matching numbers and colours
    - Optional sunroof
    - Interesting "L" version

As stated on its Porsche certificate of authenticity, this example left the factory on the 15th January 1968 in an "Irish Green" livery with a black skai interior. In terms of options, it has an electric sunroof, tinted windows and front black leather seats. Its microfiche also reveals that it was delivered new in New York. It was registered in California at the time when it was imported into Europe. Its bodywork is in healthy condition and was repainted in its original colour in 1993. Matching numbers, the engine was also completely rebuilt that same year with "S" specifications. The car had a mileage of 31,809 miles at the time and as of today, its odometer now shows just over 39,000 miles. Inside, the upholstery is in good condition and front leather seats are slightly patinated, looking like they just came out of the factory. The original steering wheel was replaced by a smaller diameter Momo steering wheel and a Blaupunkt car radio completes the original equipment. Bodywork seals are in good condition. A front tower strut bar was also mounted. As one of 449 coupe sold in USA in 1968, this beautiful car provides an interesting original configuration, an optional sunroof and is therefore an excellent choice.
