    1972 Porsche 2.4L 911S RHD - Signal Yellow 9.jpg

    Dealer Description:

Supplied new to Mason and King of Leicester on 25.01.1972 finished in signal yellow and registered DRY704K, the colour and number it still wears today, this 911 2.4 S coupe with side `oel klapper`, was actually manufactured in 1971, and is believed to be one of the earliest examples, of less than 40 UK RHD examples registered in that year.

It stayed in its standard configuration until approximately 2004, when BS Motorsport converted/restored the car for Edmond Harris Porsche and his customer Brian Burrows into an ST style period road racer, complete with a 2.7 litre engine, reputedly costing circa 100k at the time.

In 2006 it was acquired by Neil Primose from the band Travis, however, was sold on shortly afterwards, when it is believed he acquired a genuine 2.5ST as its replacement. The next owner Tim Bryan decided it would be suitable for competition, so instructed Gantspeed to carry out the necessary modifications and applied for FIA papers which were granted in 2008. It was subsequently campaigned in the Tour Britannia and then the Heritage Touring car cup.

We acquired the car in 2012 and its last race was actually in 2013 at the Spa Classic with Paul himself and his team mate Gerry Taylor behind the wheel. It was shortly after this that the car was sold to a long standing customer, who instructed us to carry out a conversion back to a car that could be used for fast road use as previously intended.

Because of the rising value of cars during this time, shortly after commencing the refurbishment, we received further instructions to carry out a full no expense constraint restoration to the highest standard possible and to its original specification. This was carried out over a two year period and included sourcing many OE period parts including a correct and genuine 1972 numbered 2.4S engine. The restoration is meticulously recorded with documentation including the original certificate of authenticity and photographs. These are available to view along with the car at our premises.

Since completion, the car has been displayed at Goodwood Revival, Silverstone Classic as well as several Porsche Club events and has been generally acknowledged by those who truly understand these cars, as possibly one of the finest restored examples available anywhere. Unfortunately, our client eventually succumbed to a long term illness and the car had to be sold, however, has since been used as intended, for tours of UK and Ireland by its current owner.

    In Summary
It is fair to say; it may not be commercially viable to restore a 2.4S to this obsessive standard today. However, for the next custodian, this car still presents as well as when first completed, and is an excellent opportunity to acquire one of the finest genuine RHD ‘72 cars available, restored in its correct original colour and specification.

    Auction Description:

    - French title
    - Matching numbers, matching colours
    - Incredible restoration by Serge Heitz
    - A short chassis in a desirable livery
    - No reserve

This amazing 911 S short chassis was delivered new in Italy in October 1966. It is presented in its original configuration, with its metallic silver paint and red leather interior, as evidenced in its Kardex Porsche. Equipped with fog lights, headrests and Fuch rims, this 911 went through a very impressive restoration by the specialist Serge Heitz before being delivered to our French collector. Appraised for €430,000 in December 2019 at the time it became part of the collection, it was described as being "corrosion-free, has had a recent full high-quality and meticulous restoration, both mechanically and on the bodywork, leather upholstery, as well as equipment and accessories, in its original colour."
Legend has it that it was commissioned by an Italian businessman with occult activities. In love with an opera singer, he dropped off this 911 in front of the Scala in Milan and asked a child to give the keys to the singer, who would therefore never know the identity of this secret admirer and author of this gift.
It has become difficult to find a 2.0L 911 S with a short chassis. This one has had a high-level restoration, adorning itself with its stunning livery and still with its engine.

    1966 Porsche 2.0L 911S Coupe - Light Ivory.jpg

    - Dutch title
    - Desirable 911 S, icon of the 911 family
    - High quality restoration
    - Original colors, delivered new in Germany

Delivered new in December 1966 in Aachen, Germany (and corresponding to the 1967 model year), this car is not only one of the most coveted versions of the Porsche 911, it was also the object of a high quality restoration by a Dutch workshop which specializes in this type of model. The file includes a USB key with more than 150 photos detailing the restoration, such as the stripping of the bodywork, the restoration, the reassembly of the mechanical elements, the painting process and the interior trim. The original color combination has been scrupulously respected, with "Hellelfenbein" (light ivory) bodywork and "Black/Pepita" upholstery whose famous houndstooth pattern contributes to the welcoming appearance of the interior. It is fitted with a 2-liter engine which, although not original, is of the type corresponding to the model. In addition to the photos mentioned above, this Porsche 911 S comes with a "Certificate of Authenticity" issued by the Porsche importer in Belgium and a copy of its factory construction sheet, as well as a summary of the work.
Combining its pure design, its lightness and its 160bhp engine, the 911 S is a true icon in the vast 911 family. In a condition such as this, it is a real rarity.

    Dealer Description:

A matching numbers car which also comes with it’s original books.
Sold new in California in 1972, the car had an engine rebuild at approximately 70,000 miles by a Porsche specialist in California. The car was imported to Australia in the early 90’s by one of Adelaide’s leading Porsche specialists who embarked on a conversion to RHD using all genuine Porsche parts and also a bare metal respray from its original “sepia braun” to bright red. This specialist actually travelled to the States to make sure that this car was the best that he could source.
The interior was changed towards the end of the restoration to the current black from the original brown colour.
The car has had recent attention from this same specialist making it as up to date as possible and just a superb Porsche to drive..
Powered by that 2.4 litre boxer 6 cylinder engine, it produced when new 140Kw and 216Nm of power and torque, delivered to the rear wheels via a 5 speed manual gearbox. Performance was very impressive in 1972 at 0-100kph in 6.4 secs and a top speed of 230kph. Those figures are still impressive nearly 60 years later.
The Targa variety gives you a perfect combination of open roof and closed roof driving, depending on the weather. With the most powerful engine option controlled by your right foot and the magnificent sound and look of this classic Porsche, it will be very becoming to it’s next owner.
Naturally eligible for Historic or club registration in most jurisdictions, this equates to minimal on road costs.
Don’t miss this gorgeous example of an early 911 on our state of the art showroom floor in Adelaide.
The current number plate 2911 does not come with the car.
We can arrange transport door to door world wide. If a buyer lives in a LHD market, we can arrange conversion back to the original LHD mode by professional Porsche expertise in Australia.

    Dealer Description:

    - Very small production of 422 examples
    - Rare 911 S Soft-window Targa, only two years production
    - Two owners only, full matching numbers

Even if the 911 S was not marketed in the United States in 1968 due to anti-pollution regulations, this Porsche 911 S Targa “Soft Window” entered American soil via a special order placed by Porsche Car Southest, Inc in Jacksonville, Florida. Upon arrival, it was shipped to local dealer RBM of Atlanta, Inc. and sold to its first owner, who then kept it for 44 years! Those cars are very rare, this is one survivor out of 422 Ex from a two years only production.

In 2012 the first owner after 44 years of ownership sold this 911 S Targa “Soft Window” to a well known specialist in classic Porsche cars. After fitting a new Targa seal, refurbishing the Fuchs wheels and restoring the suspension arms, the car was sold to a local collector who stored it at his home before recently reselling it to the same dealer. With a mileage of 83,600 miles (137,000 km) and a unique patina, this 911 gives off an incredible charm. The original leather seats which had been removed and stored for several decades are in perfect condition. The rear seats, door panels, dashboard and original instruments are also in good condition; only the carpets were changed in 2012.

The engine was recently overhauled by a Porsche specialist, the châssis has been controlled for rust and we have pictures of work done before, during and after so you will see than the car is very well preserved, while the gearbox and braking system are perfectly usable and reliable. “Matching numbers”, this charming Porsche 911 S Targa “Soft Window” has a tool kit, a jack, its spare wheel and its set of numbered keys. It comes with its Porsche certificate of authenticity, the owner’s manual, its original price sheet showing factory options which was showcased onto the car’s window at the dealership. To complete the history of this car and reinforce its unique character, the Californian black plates, the first provisional title issued in 1968 and registration certificates from 2012 to 2019 will be provided. This is an attractive choice, with characteristics which are sure to seduce the most demanding classic Porsche enthusiasts.

On the pictures you can see the car under pan before stripping, during and after showing than this car is very well preserved from rust.

Here at our Porsche Classic Partner dealer we can deal from a respray to a full concours restoration, this is a very good candidate for someone who want to add a unique car to his collection, don’t hesitate to ask we will be delighted to fulfill your requests.
