    Auction Description:

We are pleased to present this 1969 Porsche 911 S finished in Bahama Yellow over a black leather interior. Marking the top range Porsche model of its day, the 1969 911 S was the first 911 to be offered with a long wheelbase as well as Bosch mechanical fuel injection (MFI). This 1969 example is said to have been under the care of its original owner from new and is accompanied by extensive records and documentation. Highlighting over $30k worth of recent restorative work including a full glass-out respray and engine refresh, this number’s-matching 911 S is now being offered for auction showing approximately 66k miles on the odometer.

This 911 has been recently treated to a professional glass-out respray in its factory original color of Bahama Yellow. All of the original chrome trim has been refurbished as needed and the paint is noted to be in immaculate condition (detailed images are provided in the photo gallery). This 911 S rides on original Fuchs wheels which come dressed in 2-year-old Yokohama tires.

Inside, the black interior has been beautifully preserved in mostly original condition. The front seats have been recently reupholstered in black leather and the seller confirms all gauges and accessories to be fully functional.

This 911 S carries its original 2.0 L flat-six engine which features Bosch mechanical fuel injection. Approximately 170 HP is sent to the rear wheels by way of a recently rebuilt and number’s matching 5-speed manual transmission. Within the last several hundred miles the engine is said to have been completely removed before it was thoroughly inspected, tuned, resealed, detailed and reinstalled. Offered with a comprehensive collection of service records and documentation amounting to a binder 2- inches thick, this 911 S is said to be completely sorted and in excellent driving condition. The sale of this 911 S will include the original books and tools, a set of two keys and extensive records including service receipts and original import documents.
That car originally had the factory luggage option, 9248, 9249, according to the Kardex, and was one of the last MY69 cars built

LMC is very proud to offer for sale this 1972 Porsche 911S. This highly desirable 911S example is finished in attractive Signal Yellow with Black Interior. It was delivered by Holbert's Porsche-Audi- VW Dealership in Warrington, PA on July 26 th, 1972. It is only one of very few fitted from the factory with a Sunroof. It recently underwent a detailed restoration by previous ownership to elevate this 2.4s to current condition. The prior owner invested over $70,000 alone to rebuild the numbers matching engine and transmission back to peak operating condition. During the restoration, a set of factory RS steel rear-wheel flares were added for a sportier look and the ability to fit larger tires as used on the Carrera RS variant.

Beautifully restored from top to bottom, this 911 2.4s is a well sorted example ready to be used at any show or touring event. Included in the sale are owner’s manuals, restoration receipts, tools and much more. If you are looking for an early 911s with a rare factory sunroof, this example is ready to be enjoyed equally on the show field or on the open road!

    Dealer Description:

    - Engine No. 960178 (type 901/02) - matching
    - Transmission No. 103183 (901/02) - matching
    - 160 horsepower @ 6,600rpm, 9.8:1 compression
    - 132 foot-pounds torque @ 5,200 rpm
    - Weber 40 IDS carburetors & Bosch ignition system

The owner spared no expense in the restoration! From 2017-2018 everything was rebuilt including the engine, transmission, brakes, and suspension by Aase Motors in Fullerton, California.

It is a California car; both the body & undercarriage are extremely dry & straight with no signs of damage or rust. Finished in Light Ivory with a lovely Black German interior. All of the gauges and clock have been restored along with the radio. All of the chrome has been triple plated and all new rubber seals have been installed. It is truly in exceptional condition!

The best part is not how good she looks but the way this 911 S drives. It is pure Porsche. There is nothing like the way these short wheel-base 911s handle. They are very nimble and you feel the road with every turn. The short-stroke early 2.0-liter motors also have a very free rev which is like no other 911S. This 2.0-Liter engine runs absolutely perfect and the 901 transmission shifts precise & is very smooth. The steering is light and responsive with no alignment issues. The four-wheel disc brake system stops the car straight and has been completely rebuilt along with the suspension. An ideal 911 for any vintage touring event.

According to the CoA, it was completed on September 2, 1966, and was the 468th “S” built. Options include rear wiper, factory driving lights through the horn grills, gas heater, Becker radio (restored and works perfectly), factory flat 4 1/2” Fuch alloy wheels (one year only) sporting Michelin XWX 185/70 VR 15 tires. Wooden steering wheel with deluxe horn ring, Coco mats, and seat belts. Complete with original owner's manual, restoration receipts, Certificate of Authenticity confirming all matching numbers, extra key, spare wheel/tire, jack, and tools. Rare opportunity to find an early 67 911S that has been restored and sorted to such high standards.

    Dealer Description:

    - First Year of the Celebrated 911 2.0L S Model
    - Matching Numbers per Porsche Kardex & Certificate of Authenticity
    - Optioned from New with Recaro Sport Seats in Leatherette & “Pepita” Cloth
    - Previously Owned & Restored by Marque Expert Gary Kempton of GK Restorations
    - Includes Two Large Binders of Extensive History, Photos & Documentation
    - Outfitted with Roof Rack, Straps & Period Driving Accessories
    - Offered with Tool Kit, Jack, Spare, Original Manuals, Porsche COA & Kardex

According to its Porsche Kardex and Certificate of Authenticity, 307785S was completed on March 16, 1967 and delivered new through Fa. Mahag Porsche in Munich, Germany on March 31st - outfitted in Polo Red over Black Leatherette with Pepita Inserts and a host of optional equipment. This included: Webasto Heater, Recaro Sport Seats, Dunlop Tires, Sunvisor Mirror, Radio Set, Antenna and Loudspeaker, Radio "Debugging Kit" (radio interference condenser), Radio Installation, and Halogen Headlights. Mr. Fleck of Langenfeld, Germany took original ownership. A copy of the original Kardex also tracks several noted services up to 1968.

The 911S made its way to the U.S., where Gary Kempton of GK Restorations in Crawfordville, Florida, later acquired the car through an Alabama caretaker. In 1991, after a number of years under Kemp's ownership, 307785S was sold to Jonathan Lee of Atlanta, Georgia. Lee and Kempton would strike up a friendship, and they agreed that Kempton would completely restore the 911S to as-delivered specification. The fastidious work included the use of many original and NOS parts. The car's original engine and transaxle are retained and were completely rebuilt, as were all ancillary components. The body was stripped and treated to a new coat of Polo Red, and the interior was retrimmed with Pepita inserts in the original sport seats. Due to periods of inactivity and the budding career of Mr. Lee, the restoration process took 10 years to complete - which is chronicled by a detailed summary and history letter at a cost of over $88,000. Further upkeep and maintenance is recorded thereafter.

Since its completion in 2001, the 911 S has continued to receive fastidious care, while being enjoyed as intended with a now nicely mellowed, yet very presentable display. The exterior's paintwork is glossy, with minor aging and flaws upon close inspection, while the cabin's upholstery is nicely trimmed with excellent fit and finishes. In addition to the European band Blaupunkt Frankfurt, and Pepita clad Recaro Sport Seats, period style accessories include; lap belts, rear leather luggage straps and Coco mats. All side and rear glass is correct Sekurit etched, as well as the front Sigla windshield.

Complementing the overall appearance, a period style stainless steel roof rack is mounted with correct snow/water ski straps, Michelin XWX tires on refinished Fuchs wheels, rear AMCO bumper bar and 1968/69 Florida license plate. A matching spare wheel, tool kit and jack accompany the 911's dossier of records, as well as rare original books, including a 1967 911S Driver's Manual, Dealer Brochure, Service Station booklet, Technical Specifications booklet, Service / Warranty book, and all Blaupunkt manuals/warranty cards/diagrams.

A January 2020 inspection and scheduled service included a general tune-up, new OEM oil filter and fluids. The car performs effortlessly and is an absolute thrill to drive and head-turner at any gathering. Now available for worldwide purchase and delivery from our Houston, Texas showroom.

    Auction Description:

    - Matching numbers, Belgium-delivered, rare factory options & desirable non sunroof coupe, top-of-the-range 911 S
    - Taken off the road in 1984, rediscovered in the UK, with just 63,000 kms and retaining much originality
    - The subject of a four-year exacting restoration to original Porsche COA specification
    - Now simply stunning with commendable attention to detail
    - Just 69,356 kms / 43,095 miles
    - Must be one of the best examples of its type currently available anywhere

The car presented here was something of a local legend, rumoured to be lost and slumbering somewhere in the West Country for decades. It was re-discovered in a dry lock-up garage and is now known to be left-hand drive car, manufactured on the 2nd March 1971 and sold new in Belgium, before being imported and registered in the UK on the 2nd December 1981. For unknown reasons, the car was only used until 1984 when it was taken off the road having covered just over 69,000 kilometres (an old MOT Certificate indicates the car had covered 63,718 km in 1983). In the years that followed, its previous custodian was approached by the, then, owner who explained that her husband had left her the car and she had little need or understanding of it. The gentleman eventually purchased the rather 'down-at-heel' 911 in the early 1990s with the intention of restoring it and moved it into his lock-up garage to start the restoration process. After removing some parts and replacing numerous panels the process stalled with life and business interests taking over, and that is how it remained until 2016. Silverstone Auctions were invited to view the car and subsequently sold it as a restoration project in 2016. Four years later, we now have the privilege of offering it for sale once again. With its full potential on show, after a four year, exacting and costly restoration, this top-of-the-range 911 is now resplendent in its fully restored condition.

Chassis #0785 is a real survivor and is a fully matching-numbers, Belgium-supplied (even retaining its original Belgian VIN Tag in addition to its original Porsche one), Euro-spec, non-sunroof Coupé.

The nut and bolt restoration was commissioned and overseen by a real Porsche enthusiast, ensuring that the car was returned to its rare Certificate of Authenticity spec with the best factory options, utilising the skills of leading industry professionals in all areas, however small (e.g. ‘Southbound’ for carpets, Nick Moss for the window frames etc.)

In brilliant Gemini Blue Metallic with leather Sports Recaro seats and fog lights, this car is simply stunning. The engine and gearbox were fully and correctly restored, using SSI heat exchangers. Our vendor is a 'details guy', so the car has the correct ‘S’ spec alloy rear deck lid and license plate panel - often missed in a restoration, plus all the date codes are correct, including the beautiful Blaupunkt Frankfurt radio which was restored by Konigs in Germany, the car even has four date matching Fuchs wheels & also a correct date range spare wheel all with XwX tyres. He was able to source many new old stock parts, including the correct extremely rare Bosch lenses (with the raised letter ‘H1’ front light units and all the indicator lenses), Bosch Sport horns, Hirschmann Antenna, Repa Sports Recaro seat-belt receivers and original correct dated seat belts. It retains all its correct and original Securit glass (except for a new front screen) and is accompanied by a complete original toolkit (including the Pudenz fuse pouch, Drager tyre pressure gauge with pouch & correctly restored Bilstein jack). There is an original complete German book-pack (including the original Blaupunkt and Hirschmann booklets), 3 keys (including the Valet) all in a period-correct original leather key pouch. Every correct decal has been placed around the entire car to ensure a perfect finish.

The restoration is fully documented in many photos contained on a USD drive. Every invoice is presented and categorised in a bespoke leather Carfolio file. Furthermore, there is also a custom made A3 size photo coffee table book of the restoration. This surely must be one of the best and most correct 911 S models on the market currently and represents a fascinating story of being lost, found and brought back to glory, with much success – just look at those images! This is a special motor car.

*Please note the registration number pictured is not included in the sale and the car will revert back to its original 1971 assigned number.

'. . . I am pleased to offer this 1967 Porsche 911S race car. Car lived most of it’s life in California and Florida but currently resides in Georgia. It was serviced in California by Andial and in Florida by Klubsport racing. Current owner has it serviced by MotorWerks in Georgia. It was converted to a race car almost from new and has been raced since. There is no evidence of any major damage to the car. It still has its original headlight buckets with the last 2 numbers of the VIN stamped on them. There are no historic log books included to indicated in which races this car participated – only past conversations with people that know the car. Current owner has not raced the car but only had it out on a few track days in the past 7 years. The motor has been refreshed with no hours driven since the refresh. Very fun to drive and have for a PCA/SCCA etc. track day event.

VIN # is 308470. There is a picture of the certificate of authenticity and Kardex in the picture section. Car is being sold with Bill of Sale only – no title is included. Car currently has a ’69 911T motor installed that has been race prepped and modified for racing.

    As an added bonus:

Included with the ’67 911S race car will be this 1967 Porsche 911S engine # 960056 (56th 67S Motor) rebuilt. Excellent rebuilt 1967 911 S engine with many new components ready to install and complete less clutch. Starting from the middle and working out the motor has a STD/STD counter weighted crankshaft, block and genuine “S” matched rod set that were original to the engine. The crankshaft was magnafluxed and checked for straightness. The connecting rods were checked for straightness and had the big and small ends resized. The block is in excellent condition with standard size align bore with no repairs, pulled threads, or machined surprises. Where the intermediate shaft rides in the block was in very good specification as these early engines had no babbit type bearings there and the original intermediate shaft center was employed and the timing chain gears and the aluminum drive gear were replaced. All the main and rod bearings (Glyco) and rod bolts (Verbus) were replaced. The pistons and cylinders have been upgraded to original Mahle 2.2 liter 911S in 84MM bore size and the cylinder heads were replaced with genuine 2.2 911 S heads which had all the valve guides replaced with a complete set of new exhaust valves (Ate) and intake valves as needed for a complete valve job on the cylinder heads. Timing chains (Iwis) on the engine were replaced with original no master link chains and any gears that showed wear were replaced with new and the chain rails were replaced with the latest type chain guide rails. Original chain boxes and cam housings were retained as they were original to the engine and in very good condition with nice bores in the cam housings where the camshafts ride. The original 911 S camshafts were used as they are in very good condition and rocker arms were inspected and replaced as needed. The engine sheet metal is period correct to the engine and was powder coated as well as the fan shroud was replaced and painted with a very nice shroud. The motor has the original fan assembly with the original type Bosch 35 amp alternator. Carburetors were rebuilt and are Weber 40 IDA 3C-3C1 with the correct size 36 mm venturis and jets and the brass floats were replaced with all four floats in updated polyurathane foam that does not collapse like the old style floats. Intake manifolds are the original Porsche 911 S large port manifolds. The exhaust has been replaced with brand new heat exchangers and a very nice stainless steel Sport Muffler with twin outlets
