    Dealer Description:

CPR Classic is delighted to offer this immaculate 1972 Porsche 911S Coupe finished in Albert Blue over a full red leather interior with factory sport seats and air conditioning. This example went through a painstaking complete bare metal restoration by our craftsman at CPR and presents today as one of the finest restoration-grade early Porsche 911s available anywhere.

The car began restoration and was completely disassembled to the tub and stripped to bare metal. Removing the paint revealed a very straight, unmolested body that required minimal metal work to prepare the car for paint. All gaps were set to factory tolerances and exterior components were fit while the car was in metal to ensure proper fitment throughout the paint process. Upon completion in metal, the car was moved to our paint preparation department where it spent several hundred hours being placed in heavy primer and blocked to ensure laser straight panels and better-than-factory levels of finish throughout. Upon completion of paint preparation and a rigorous inspection of the primed body, the car was finished in Glasurit single-stage Albert Blue paint. Following a bake in our Binks downdraft paint booth and several weeks post application to allow the paint to cure, the car was thoroughly color sanded to eliminate orange peel and any light imperfections.

Following the paint process, the car was moved to our assembly department where it was meticulously assembled ensuring that every nut, bolt, and washer was installed with correct plating and finishes. The car's window frames were thoroughly sanded to remove all imperfections, polished, and dipped to reproduce a correct factory anodized finish. Every nut and bolt was media blasted and replated with correct finishes throughout. Exterior components were replaced with new parts as necessary including corner lenses, horn grills, and so on. The matching numbers engine was completely overhauled in-house and built to stock 2.4 911S specifications. The matching numbers gearbox was fully overhauled to include new gear sets and synchros.

Nearing the completion of assembly, the car was sent to Autobahn Interiors in Sorrento Valley CA where a full red German leather was installed. The factory sport seats were refinished in red leather as well with correct perforated inserts. A black headliner was selected and retains the correct ''diamond'' perforation. A lovely period Nardi steering wheel was selected and installed to round out the interior.

Upon return from the interior shop, we installed an upgraded R134 A/C system while utilizing the original factory A/C dash register to retain factory cosmetics. The upgraded A/C works outstanding and is a vast improvement from the original R12 system that the car originally wore. The rotary compressor used is also much smaller and less obtrusive in the engine bay.

Upon completion of the car, CPR used it as part of a film that was produced in conjunction with Petrolicious and Porsche in 2017. The car was badged as a 911T for the film as the film's intended purpose was to launch the then-new 2018 991 Carrera T and a perfect Albert Blue 911 was needed for production. Following the completion of filming the car was delivered to the owner that commissioned the restoration in the South Bay area of Los Angeles. The car spent several years with this client before being sold to another CPR client that has enjoyed the car for the past several years.

This 911S has traveled just over 800 miles since its completion in 2017 and remains in perfect condition throughout. Upon arrival at CPR, the car was thoroughly inspected to ensure that everything remains at the finest level and the car will be offered with our traditional bumper-to-bumper one-year warranty for its new owner.

If you are in the market for a 911S in a special color combination that is ready to be shown at the highest level with an outstanding chance of winning any show it is entered in, this is a must-consider example. This 911 offers an as-new driving experience of the distilled and visceral sensation that makes early 911s so special. Don't miss this spectacular 911S.
