    Dealer Description:

We are pleased to offer on behalf of one of our clients this outstanding 1971 Porsche 911S Coupe.

For many years, 2shores is offering selected first grade examples of air-cooled Porsches and other collectible automobiles. This iconic 911S Coupe is one of those special cars!

1971 Porsche 911S Coupe, all numbers matching. Timeless and classic color combination of silver metallic (8080) over black leather sport seats with hounds tooth inserts!

The 2,2S is considered possibly the purest of the early S engines with ample power throughout and an addicting sound when pushed towards redline at 7300 rpm. The 2.2S engine develops 180 bhp and those cars are still capable of top speeds well above 120 mp/h. Produced only in 1970 and 1971 in very limited numbers and equipped with a factory aluminum deck lid these cars are sought after by enthusiasts all over the world for their looks and performance.

This car was repainted to original specifications in 2008. The body- and paintwork has been done to a high standard and still presents very nice today.
The numbers matching motor is also rebuild and runs flawless. The mileage of 74500 is believed to be original with no more than 1500 miles since restoration.

The interior of the car is in appealing condition with genuine leather sport seats and hounds tooth interior with matching coco mats. Rare through the grille fog lights and Euro spec ride height complete the stunning look. The car looks, runs and drives awesome and comes from a knowledgeable and enthusiastic Porsche aficionado!

This is a rare opportunity to acquire a fully sorted early Porsche 911S Coupe in classic colors and great driving condition. Comes with jack, spare and tools. The car is ready to be used and needs nothing. Please study all the photos closely to evaluate the condition of this car! Located in New York! Pre purchase inspections welcomed!

This 1970 Porsche 911S Targa was acquired nine years ago by the seller, a former Porsche mechanic, and subsequently received a multi-year restoration. The body shell was placed on a rotisserie and stripped to bare metal before receiving rust repair and a repaint in Signal Yellow. New interior components were then installed, including Recaro-style sport seats upholstered in black leather with houndstooth inserts. Power is provided by a correct-type 2.2L flat-six, which retains mechanical fuel injection and is paired with a five-speed manual transaxle. The suspension and braking systems were overhauled as outlined in the listing below, and additional features include 15″ Fuchs wheels, Euro-style lighting, gold-color model badging, front fog lights, upgraded chain tensioners, and Petronix ignition. The seller notes that the engine was run a fair amount after being rebuilt in order to get it tuned, though the car has only been driven a few miles on the road since the restoration was completed. This 911S is now offered with receipts and photos from the restoration, as well as a clean Minnesota title in the seller’s name.

    Dealer Description:

    - Special Order with Several Rally Style Options
    - Optioned New with Rare Rally Style Equipment!
    - Interesting Early History and Delivery Options
    - A Remarkable Find from Decades of Storage in a Michigan Garage
    - Special Order with Several Rally Style Options
    - Final Year of the Short Wheelbase 911
    - 1 of 449 911L, “Late” Models Produced (1968 only)
    - Numbers-Matching Engine and Transmission
    - Includes Porsche Kardex & Porsche Certificate of Authenticity
    - Significant & Worthwhile Early 911L Project to Restore

The 911 L was only produced for the 1968 model year. The L stood for "Late" (as in late model), and was the most expensive of the 911s, since the 911S was not available in the US for 1968. Only 449 cars were built with this designation and production dates after October 1967.

This particular example, 3280588 was completed on March 1st 1968 in Silver (6851) over Black Leather (B) upholstery, fitted with a substantial selection of special optioned equipment such as: US equipment, exterior mirror, spare parts kit, rear window wiper, antenna, loudspeaker, engine noise suppression, 2 headrests – leather, tinted glass – all around, 100 liter gas tank, Recaro sport seats – leather, halogen fog lights, halogen spot light and Dunlop tires. Extraordinary to say the least.

Of significant interest the factory Kardex shows that this 911L was completed March 3, 1968 and purchased by Mr. H.K. Mills of Pontiac, Michigan, via Jabsen Motors of Hong Kong, famed for their introduction of Porsche to Asia in 1955.

The Porsche Kardex for states that 11805188 received multiple services from May-December 1968 while accumulating 12,067 miles in just 5 months (early globetrotting or testing???)! Of note the 911 had 5,311 miles at its first in service of May 6, 1968 just two months after delivery. Scania-Vabis in Sweden is noted as one of the service handlers. The options and early history lead us to believe possible testing or long-distance touring/rally use in period. Of note the transmission type on the Kardex and Porsche Certificate indicates type 904/14 with number 3280871. The 911 eventually made its way home to Michigan, U.S.A., where it would reside for the remainder of its life. After what we can only presume was an exciting life lived, the car was tucked away in garage storage for many years, until its recent discover in Michigan.

Presented as found, 3280588 offers an amazing opportunity for its next caretaker to restore back to former glory and delivery presentation. In addition to the abundance of factory installed equipment, this special 911L would also receive a Golde manual sunroof and aftermarket air conditioning system, while retaining many of its original components. From our notes: Five 12/67 Original Date Coded Wheels, front driver side fender is a fiber glass replacement, original, Sekurit glass all around, production date 22.12.67, found on inner door pocket, original 911L style door panels, Golde manual sunroof.

    Original Order Options:
    US Equipment
    Exterior Mirror
    Spare Parts Kit
    Rear Window Wiper
    Antenna
    Loudspeaker
    Engine Noise Suppression
    2 Headrests – Leather
    Tinted Glass All Around
    100 Liter Fuel Tank
    Recaro Sports Seats – Leather
    Halogen Fog Lights
    Halogen Spot Light

We are pleased to present this 1969 Porsche 911 S finished in Bahama Yellow over a black leather interior. Marking the top range Porsche model of its day, the 1969 911 S was the first 911 to be offered with a long wheelbase as well as Bosch mechanical fuel injection (MFI). This 1969 example is said to have been under the care of its original owner from new and is accompanied by extensive records and documentation. This 911 has been recently treated to a professional glass-out respray in its factory original color of Bahama Yellow. All of the original chrome trim has been refurbished as needed and the paint is noted to be in immaculate condition (detailed images are provided in the photo gallery). This 911 S rides on original Fuchs wheels which come dressed in 2-year-old Yokohama tires.

Inside, the black interior has been beautifully preserved in mostly original condition. The front seats have been recently reupholstered in black leather and the seller confirms all gauges and accessories to be fully functional.

This 911 S carries its original 2.0 L flat-six engine which features Bosch mechanical fuel injection. Approximately 170 HP is sent to the rear wheels by way of a recently rebuilt and number’s matching 5-speed manual transmission. Within the last several hundred miles the engine is said to have been completely removed before it was thoroughly inspected, tuned, resealed, detailed and reinstalled. Offered with a comprehensive collection of service records and documentation amounting to a binder 2- inches thick, this 911 S is said to be completely sorted and in excellent driving condition. The sale of this 911 S will include the original books and tools, a set of two keys and extensive records including service receipts and original import documents.
