    Dealer Description:

CPR Classic is delighted to offer this immaculate 1972 Porsche 911S Coupe finished in Albert Blue over a full red leather interior with factory sport seats and air conditioning. This example went through a painstaking complete bare metal restoration by our craftsman at CPR and presents today as one of the finest restoration-grade early Porsche 911s available anywhere.

The car began restoration and was completely disassembled to the tub and stripped to bare metal. Removing the paint revealed a very straight, unmolested body that required minimal metal work to prepare the car for paint. All gaps were set to factory tolerances and exterior components were fit while the car was in metal to ensure proper fitment throughout the paint process. Upon completion in metal, the car was moved to our paint preparation department where it spent several hundred hours being placed in heavy primer and blocked to ensure laser straight panels and better-than-factory levels of finish throughout. Upon completion of paint preparation and a rigorous inspection of the primed body, the car was finished in Glasurit single-stage Albert Blue paint. Following a bake in our Binks downdraft paint booth and several weeks post application to allow the paint to cure, the car was thoroughly color sanded to eliminate orange peel and any light imperfections.

Following the paint process, the car was moved to our assembly department where it was meticulously assembled ensuring that every nut, bolt, and washer was installed with correct plating and finishes. The car's window frames were thoroughly sanded to remove all imperfections, polished, and dipped to reproduce a correct factory anodized finish. Every nut and bolt was media blasted and replated with correct finishes throughout. Exterior components were replaced with new parts as necessary including corner lenses, horn grills, and so on. The matching numbers engine was completely overhauled in-house and built to stock 2.4 911S specifications. The matching numbers gearbox was fully overhauled to include new gear sets and synchros.

Nearing the completion of assembly, the car was sent to Autobahn Interiors in Sorrento Valley CA where a full red German leather was installed. The factory sport seats were refinished in red leather as well with correct perforated inserts. A black headliner was selected and retains the correct ''diamond'' perforation. A lovely period Nardi steering wheel was selected and installed to round out the interior.

Upon return from the interior shop, we installed an upgraded R134 A/C system while utilizing the original factory A/C dash register to retain factory cosmetics. The upgraded A/C works outstanding and is a vast improvement from the original R12 system that the car originally wore. The rotary compressor used is also much smaller and less obtrusive in the engine bay.

Upon completion of the car, CPR used it as part of a film that was produced in conjunction with Petrolicious and Porsche in 2017. The car was badged as a 911T for the film as the film's intended purpose was to launch the then-new 2018 991 Carrera T and a perfect Albert Blue 911 was needed for production. Following the completion of filming the car was delivered to the owner that commissioned the restoration in the South Bay area of Los Angeles. The car spent several years with this client before being sold to another CPR client that has enjoyed the car for the past several years.

This 911S has traveled just over 800 miles since its completion in 2017 and remains in perfect condition throughout. Upon arrival at CPR, the car was thoroughly inspected to ensure that everything remains at the finest level and the car will be offered with our traditional bumper-to-bumper one-year warranty for its new owner.

If you are in the market for a 911S in a special color combination that is ready to be shown at the highest level with an outstanding chance of winning any show it is entered in, this is a must-consider example. This 911 offers an as-new driving experience of the distilled and visceral sensation that makes early 911s so special. Don't miss this spectacular 911S.

    Dealer Description:

We offer you a coupe with a factory-supplied steel sunroof, which was fully documented and restored around 12 years ago and has since covered approx. 15,000 km under the best possible conditions. The correct 2.0 S engine from the 1968 number range of all S models built is installed, but this is not "matching".

Otherwise, even a critical observer will not find anything wrong with this vehicle. The underbody (painted in body color) impresses with its complete freedom from rust and apparently flawless reconstruction. The engine shines like the chrome and has currently fully restored WEBER 40 IDS carburettors like crowns in the yellow painted engine compartment. Stainless steel heat exchangers from SSI including a stainless steel muffler round off the view from below.

Both the drive and the transmission are dust-dry by Porsche standards and do not cause any noticeable or even annoying background noise during the test run. Brakes, chassis and suspension leave a new, fresh impression. Both the quality of the paintwork and the interior fittings are of a high level of craftsmanship. A Clubsport roll bar (contemporary correct!) and a retro trip (mechanical odometer) complete the successful combination of all components.

Dear Sir or Madam - there will not be more of them, and remember what we said when we look for these cars with a magnifying glass as early as 2022, for example, because the few S's have long since been in the hands of knowledgeable collectors and are not more will come onto the market. Even if it is a bitter pill to invest so much money - if you have it available and want to invest, now would be the right moment.

You don't often hear that last sentence from us, do you? Also because we absolutely want to avoid the inflationary use of this recommendation.

But in this case we'll just make an exception. Because we are convinced of it. In terms of price, this pure series 911 keeps a clear distance from the museum pieces that are also on offer worldwide, without differing from them in terms of quality. With our, however, you can do what the Porsche 911 S does best – drive, to your heart’s content.

    1972 Porsche 2.7L 911S Test Car - Daylight Yellow 2.jpg

    Dealer Description:

We want to tell you that: According to the original documents available to us from Porsche AG and the only previous owner to date, this very special Porsche was built for the test department in July 1972 and covered approx. 16,000 km of test drives with red license plates without being street legal. In September 1973, Porsche AG sold the car to an engineer in Heilbronn after the vehicle had been inspected by TÜV by means of individual acceptance and a factory clearance certificate with all technical data and was approved for use on public roads. In the same "daylight traffic yellow" mentioned, with a 2.7 RS engine from the testing department, with the famous "duck tail".

Its first owner kept all the documents in an exemplary manner, giving us an almost diary-like insight into the very eventful history of this solitaire.

Since September 1973. To this day.

Beginning with the original purchase contract between Porsche AG and its buyer, all accompanying letters from Porsche AG regarding the approval, through to all special approvals granted with regard to its technical changes and color, issued by the Stuttgart regional council for limited use on public roads.

The history of this Porsche 911 available to us impressively proves its past - because it is really complete. That is why we are firmly convinced that there is no other example of this test vehicle in the world that can be admired or even bought with a similarly complete history.

We bought the Porsche directly from the first owner a few years ago. It quickly became clear to us that we should only approach the vehicle very carefully. Our goal from the first screw loosened was clearly defined - to restore it to the exact condition in which the vehicle left the Porsche factory, while consistently adhering to the specifications of the Turin Carta: if possible, every part, no matter how small, should be original get to restore it or at least bring it back to the best possible condition.

You can now see the result after 3 years on the first current photos. More will surely follow, as well as we will also do some small work on it. We will also take the necessary time for this, but we will also be happy to take you, the interested reader, with us.

    Dealer Description:

    - Genuine 911S SWB
    - 100% matching numbers
    - Ex-Magnus Walker vehicle

On offer is an original 1967 Porsche 911S 2.0L with a short wheelbase. The vehicle was manufactured on February 13, 1967 and delivered in the USA. A Porsche certificate confirms that it is a 100% matching numbers 911S. Engine and gearbox numbers match completely. The color blood orange with leather/pepita inside also corresponds to the delivery condition.

The following additional equipment was available ex works: "Webasto" auxiliary heating (is installed but not connected), antenna, loudspeakers, sun visor with mirror, halogen fog lights, outside temperature display, noise suppression for radio, Dunlop tires (165/15).

The 911S was in the US until 2010 and most recently in Magnus Walker's collection in Los Angeles. After that it was imported to Passau, Germany.
The current owner bought the Porsche in 2012 and then undertook a full restoration.
The body was rebuilt and welded, the engine and gearbox were also revised.
The restoration is well documented. A large part of the restoration was done in the Porsche specialist company P&W in Stuttgart.
The current condition can be rated with a 2+. The paint condition is very good, engine and gearbox run excellent.
A performance measurement after a carburetor revision in 2019 resulted in a performance of 168ps at 6,700rpm.
The interior has also been revised and is in nice condition with a light patina. The underbody is also impeccable and is protected against corrosion with a Timex seal.
Overall a great example of a rare original 911S in blood orange.
Technically absolutely TOP with well-documented restoration.

Are you talking about the tangerine 911s? The floor panel looks right to me...indeed, the car looks remarkably nice. What am I missing?

Floor has been replaced with a modern repro G series panel. Can be back-dated if it bothers you.
