FS: Porsche crest orange bar in nice condition and patina

    $250 + shipping + Paypal

It looks like two orange bars might have been touched up. Back posts intact. Someone said it is a 73-74 badge, but I am not sure.

Yes '72-'73 badge, can we see a picture of the back and better one of the front with no flash. Thanks!

...and how can you tell that it's '72-'73? I haven't learned the telltales based on the front side detail.

Where the horse right front leg would meet the body. One is flat and the other one is pointed. Pointed is 65-72, flat 73-74.

Well, ya learn something new every day. Now I've got to dig my badges out when I get home and look at this detail. I've always thought that the ones with a little bit of dimpling on the back were the later version.

    Thanks!

Sorry for the hijack, Frank could you post, send, or point me toward a photo of an early 911 front badge? With the pointed right leg? I am looking for one for my car.
    Thanks

I'm seeing two types here. Which is which?
The brighter second one is from a recent sale on the Reg, the patina'd first one is one of mine off of a '69 I believe.

I look forward to the direction this goes...This one has the clear potential to move into the top five minutia discussions displacing the smuggler box paint thread.
