    1965 911

Does anyone know the approximate survival rate of pre August 1965 911's. How many came with sunroofs? I own 301835, build date 7/20/65, it has a sunroof. Any input would be appreciated.

I have about 260 in my list before your car. Sunroof would be rather rare in that period; I show 7 before yours. Now as to what percentage I list compared to still surviving I have no real idea. What can you tell me about the engine, transmission and paint codes?

The COA says it is a "1965 911 Carrera Coupe" I have seen many COAs for 1965 cars, but none of them say Carrera Coupe, maybe a typo, who knows.

    Engine #902060

    Transmission #101972

    Paint code ruby red/6402

If you want to see some pictures, go to www.rennsports.com this is my website, it is not officially for sale.

    Thanks for the info

Looks like a nice car. But, we do see a price, of $225,000. If someone offers you that, is it then officially for sale?

I just finished restoring the car, it was a one owner european delivery car, it had never been crunched, all of the original bits were on it the front bumper was especially heavy (the weights were still there), it only has 77,000 miles on it, it had been repainted in the late 70's Guards Red and it had some rust issues. I want to show it a little and drive it a little, it is fairly unique.

I guess if someone wants it bad enough I would sell it. It was not that long ago that this was a $10,000 car un restored.

That's what we're saying. For $225,000 they would have to want really want it ! Of course IMHO.
