    Gorgeous car, but then I'm partial to Light Ivory.

    What is the knob just to the left of the Ventilation Fresh Air/Defrost controls?

    That knob is for the aux gas heat. That is if the factory installed it. I have one in my ROW (Italian) 73S. The knob is pictured in the Italian owners manual in that location same as in my car.
