    Sport seat retrim ... Combination advice

    I'm about to retrim original sport seats for model year 73S.
    Planning black & white pepita / houndstooth centres & black leather bolsters / sides / headrests. Can't decide whether leather should be smooth or perforated. Anybody tried perforated with pepita / houndstooth? Would it have been a possible option on a 73S?

    It also depend on how original you want to stay ; I'm almost sure that perforated bolster was not offer in 1973, only smooth vinyl was offered with Houndstooth (pepita) center. The perf bolsters ends in 1971, I think...

    Dear JD, that is very good to know. If perf bolsters ended in 71 then maybe that's not sensible to pursue. Leather & pepita may not be absolutely correct (if I understand from your comment that pepita was matched with vinyl not leather) but I hope it could be considered an acceptable liberty to take.

    Pepita was available with both vinyl or leather, no perfs.

    Again, thank you for educating me. Leather & pepita sounds the sensible call. Just noticed where you live, San Antonio is a lovely place, perfect for a Targa!
