    Steering wheels

    Is there a difference between a RS steering wheel of 380 mm and a 914 or 914/6 wheel of 380 mm?

    Is part number 914 347 804 20 a 3800 mm?, which was what the rs used, but they gave it a 914 part number?

    Well Andy B is asleep by now so when he is up tomorrow I know he can give you all the correct part #s, but the most common wheel I have seen in the RS is 914 ending with 806.10

    Yes all the Carreras came with a leather 380 mm 914 wheel. The RSR came with one also but it was modified to a larger circumference rim.

    John - I've never seen an '804.20' wheel ... are you sure it's not 804.10 ? That would be a 380mm hard palstic 914/4 wheel.

    Any pictures you can post ?

    It is an 804.10 wheel. Thanks for the help on this. Since there are several part numbers and other qualities, this can get a bit confusing.

    I just purschased a nicely re-done 804.10 wheel for my 1970 S. If this were for an rs, I think I wiuld have searched out the wheel it came with.I think this should work out nicely!
