I used to get the correct harness tape from Eastwood, don't know if they still carry it? If not maybe McMaster -Carr

I hate dissenting, but....do not use hockey tape. if you get ANYthing on it it turns to black gooey hate filled anger tape. The stuff I mentioned from the mercedes dealer is much better. Its similar, but doesnt disintegrate. Gets gooey if you get oil on it, but doesnt turn your hands black if you touch it. Hockey tape actually has the black goo adhesive seperate from the fabric of the tape. Its awful and makes a mess. I got some oil on a harness I made from an oil leak, and I had to take apart and basically redo the harness, it was so disgusting.

i partially agree, i had to buy 3 different brand unitl i found one that did not leave the glue on both side of the fabric , but i enventually did found one that was good quality , but it was a lot of time to try and test

The one I used wasnt sticky... there are automotive tapes out there that have the same feel as hockey tape, but are rated for the heat and exposure. GL!
