Just stripping down the 2.7 7R case engine that was in my 2.2S
I have pulled the heads off and they are dated 1/71.
Part number is 911 104 307 1r.
Are these the heads off the original 2.2S that was on the car?
Thanks

Yes they are.
Are they still usable for 84 mm pistons or were they modified for 2.7 P&C?
Richard
The letters are K1819 H
Not sure if they have been modified.
The camshaft is 911 105 142 OR which I think is the 2.7S cam shaft.

Just measured P & C and 90 mm, so the heads would have been modified.
Does this make them useless for a 2.2 set of P & C?

Having checked with my mechanic, the outside diameter of the cylinder is the same for a 2.2 and 2.7. Therefore there would no mod required to bolt them on.
Can some one confirm that this sounds right please?
Looking at them they seem to be the same as one I have seen for sale in the past.
I am looking to keep them for when I build up my 70/71 2.2S motor.

The crankcase cylinder bore for the 2.2 & 2.4 is 92mm. The crankcase cylinder bore was increased to 97mm for the 2.7 engine with the 90mm pistons/cylinders. So you would have to bore out the case cylinder bores in a 2.2 & 2.4 case to accept the later 90mm pistons/cylinders because of the outside dia. of 97mm on the cylinder bottom.

Thx mark. I was thinking at the head end of the cylinder, which I believe has the same outside diameter for 2.2 and 2.7 cylinders.
