    More 50 years . . .

After cruising the corral, Zovig and I headed up into the viewing area, above the pit garages. There were cars out on the track, so we took a seat + got to watch some of them circulate

Not the same as being out there

Loud, too. I mean, these were, what --- PCA Club Racers . . . and these things just screamed. Could barely hear each other

I can only imagine what the place would be like with the stands full . . . + NASCAR V8s bellowing

    More 50 years . . .

    Time to go

I cut down the placard that Bruce had put-up over the car, then we headed out. Took some parting shots

I enjoyed myself --- + Zovig, too. Wish there'd been more to see/buy in the Swap Meet, though. I actually went home w/ some money in my pocket . . . for a change

Stopped off at Victoria Gardens, in Rancho Cucamonga (really --- that's what it's called . . . I swear), kinda down-the-street. Grabbed some lunch @ P.F. Chang's --- and we were starving, too . . . although it took, like, fifteen minutes to find a place to park The Nasty Car

    Gorged

Then toddled off to the Apple Store. SRO, as usual. Zovig just got an iPad --- she's thrilled . . . and totally addicted. Facebook, Pinterest, e-mail --- all the electro-narcotics . . .

Anyway, ran into a Lady + Her Dog

Up until a coupla years, ago, Zovig was totally terrified of dogs. Got brow-beaten by her Ungrateful Off-spring into getting one --- Chappy . . . her nasty little (10 lbs) Maltese . . . which is Italian for ankle-biter, I'm sure. Anyway, between dealing w/ her dog's antics --- and putting-up w/ my Porter . . .

. . . she is SO over it

Mai Mai. Therapy dog. For what, I don't know

    More 50 Years . . .

After lunch ---we headed back to Simi . . . definitely slower going than coming. Long day . . . long week-end

We put just over 350 miles on The Nasty Car, over three days time. And 1059 took it all in stride . . . as usual. I haven’t tanked-up, yet . . . but --- looking over the last few fuel-stops, we’re routinely managing 18-20 MpG. . . . so I figure that we prolly burned 16-18 gal --- ~$70-80?

The Show was fun . . . but still a bit of a disappointment --- to me, at least. Especially after all The Buzz of The Phoenix Show, just a few weeks before. Maybe it’s the size of the venue? . . . lots of people + cars, all spread out? The Swap was pretty sad, too. Was really looking forward to that part

Still --- seeing fifty cars . . . and being out on The Track . . . and Zovig’s face

    Fifty Years of 911

    FYI

Bruce Herrington just pinged me w/ a link to a commemorative poster + brochure of the PCA's event . . .

    Not exactly cheap . . . but I've never been in print before, so . . .

    (Psst . . . check-out p.4 of the teaser!)
