Purchasing parts from overeas sellers ?

I know some of you do it.

    How ?

What is the safest way to pay ?

How do you track if the package has been sent ?

Any hidden fees such as taxes or import fees ?

    Thanks for any help

I have purchased items internationally from businesses and individuals. I have paid with a credit card, paypal, and a check. Tracking the package is not an issue as long as the shipper uses a tracable entity like Fedex. Depending on how the seller identifies and values the shipment you may be billed customs and handling fees. As far as making sure the transaction is safe the same rules apply internationally as they do nationally. Do some research online before ordering. Use your best judgment and you will likely be fine. If for some reason the seller makes you uncomfortable then abandon ship immediately.
