1968 Production numbers?

I am looking for total soft window targa's produced in 1968 as normal cars. Besides the 912, was there only two versions 911 and 911L imported to the US?

Thank you for that information, I did spend hours searching but found nothing like what you posted.

This begs another questions, as per the 11880001 to 11880268 US "normal" Targa, would you happen to know the corresponding engine numbers.

A few notes;
Porsche lists 268 normale Targas produced in '68, but they aren't all soft window. From what I've seen, they're generally softies with rear seat, without headrests, up tlll January '68. From January 1 till spring, they're generally softies with headrests and rear storage, and from early summer on, they tend to be hard windows with rear seat and headrests.
There are lots of exceptions - but I think most after April or so of '68 are hard windows, and show the hard window option on the COA; I have a feeling that the US importer specified them this way. This was reversed at the model change to '69; the hard window became standard, and the soft window an option that generally shows on cardex/COA.
