67s screw or no screw - an interior question

I have decided it is time to restore the interior door panels of my 67s.

My door panels have screws that attach the panel to the door, which I think is original.

I have also seen interiors where there are no screws.

The screws are rather ugly and I assume most get rid of the screws on a restore.

So, question: stick with orginality and keep the screws or ditch them for a better look.

    Anybody have thoughts either way?

My vote would be leave it original. I agree they don't look as "finished" as today's manufacturing but, a lot about these cars is that way. Here's a top-notch restoration that left a lot of the interior original... Your seats are nice!

Thanks for the advice. Yeah, need to bring the interior up to the quality of the seats.

Use the screws; I think you can get them from Stoddard as a 356 part.

Might be fairly difficult to use the later push -in type fasteners of the later models as the screw holes are smaller in diameter!

On my 67S I kept the screws, and the push pins, it uses both. The push pins are from a VW beetle.
