$61K Did they use $100 bills instead of foam to stuff the seats or what?

I like the concept.....but who in their right mind would spend $60K for this?

I've considered purchasing the standard hardtop 'R' for my wife and daughter to use as a run-around vehicle but have trouble with that price tag......and that's only $36K.

I remember the first new car that I purchased back in '84.....it was a VW GTI and I think I spent $7K. I guess I'm just getting old and out of touch.....

I bought a 2008 R32 w/ ~20K miles off of Craigslist last year for $22K. It has a 3.2L naturally aspirated engine that puts down 250 bhp w/ 240 lbs. of torque. It's AWD and a blast to drive. Gas mileage is a relatively low ~23 MPG but other than that I only wish it came in a 4 door. I use it for my daily.

I looked at buying a 4 door Golf R, neat little car, pretty heavily discounted. I ended up with a S4 instead
