Is it the original engine upgraded to 2.7 or a different engine? Good looking car.

externally there is no visual change between a 2.7 mfi and a 2.4s mfi. It's when you hit the throttle you know something is up. Before I rebuilt mine to 2.7 I felt it lacked power, no complaints now.

I'm only going by the one picture but if it's restored to concour standards and numbers matching then this is the price range for a car of this quality. Again, I haven't seen the car though.

are you all saying it is not original because it has 2.7 pistons and cylinders? The 2.4S uses the same crank, heads, cams, block, rods, valves the pump is only a spacer difference. After all the factory was going to call the RS a 2.7 S and only offer the 2.4 in the E.
So if he'd had the engine rebuilt at the original 2.4 but with new pistons and cylinders it wouldn't be original either.
