72 911S/RSR to Martini Prototype spec unveiling!

I know many of you followed the engine build on the forum so just to say to any who happen to be passing through the UK
you are more than welcome to come to the unveiling party for the completed car on April 6th! I only mention it as it's the
weekend before the Techno Classica show in Essen, Germany and I know a few of you travel over for it.

The date for your diary is Midday, Saturday 6th April all are welcome!

For those of you who don't know the car it has been built to recreate the missing prototype Porsche RSR that raced in the
1973 Targa Florio and then disappeared. Here are a few pictures to illustrate the project, and if you want to know more the
entire thread is here, but be warned it’s very long, so perhaps from pages 62 on will give you an idea of the work and detail
that’s gone into the project. All the art work for instance is in paint, not a decal in sight!

Tears are rolling out from my eyes. I am quiet. get to my garage, open the driver door, sit, close the door, get a deep breath tasting old oil and fuel. turn the key and throttle several times. Laugh.
This is what your pictures has inpeired me. Thanks.

Some of you may remember that Mike began this project in the summer of 2007 after an initial appearance at Silverstone (following shipment from Arizona). The quality and commitment to detail of this build is unprecedented. I wish I could be there for the unveiling. Good luck at the event, Mike.

But if you could only take some decent pictures of it....

I had the chance to see you car in flesh and can confirm that the car is awesome with a level of finish which is really unique compare to most of the 911 in Essen

i didn't see ANY 911 in Essen that i can judge as "world class restoration level"

lot's of mistakes, lot's of imperfections. Only high prices....

    Nr.1 class is another thing.

Mike Moore's car belongs to this class.
