Wheel fit question 1966 911

I am sending my 4 1/2 fuchs to Harvey (thanks Harvey) for refinishing and a friend was going to lend me his 5 1/2 X 15 deep fuch's with 205- 60 X15 till mine are finished. I bolted on the wheels and the rears are fine but the fronts just bearly rub on the struts. I tried a wheel spacer but not enough thread left on the studs. Short of putting on longer studs (don't want to) is there a quick temp fix. I have heard of guys using deep 6's but must require some change.The wheels look nice on the car and the xtra meat would be nice.

I run 15x6 on the front of my SWB...no rub.

I used a 6mm spacer - it barely clears the strut (about 8mm), and still has enough thread to work on the studs. However - the correct solution is a 10mm spacer, and longer studs.

Yeah, a 7mm (or 6mm) spacer is the right way to handle the front with wider wheels. BTW, those 4.5" Fuchs still fit fine on the rear with a 22mm turbo spacer and longer studs. The increased track makes the car feel more predictable and the wheels wells look more balanced.
