1965 911, or really just engine/tranny and a pile of dust at Pelican

Somebody here may be interested in this engine/tranny, although the chassis itself looks largely reduced to a pile of iron oxide dust. Definitely not for the faint of heart. The current owner took the dashboard and turned it into a video game car console, complete with the gauges still in place. Note that the dash retains its grease pencil chassis number. In the owner's defense, the car really does look too far gone to be resurrected, but perhaps someone here will see an opportunity. Regardless, the engine and transmission might be of interest.

The dashboard is cool! Just sit there and watch TV, play games, video race and have the feel of a '65....

A little welding, some bondo, buffing and that car is ready for ebay.

    That dash simulator is awesome!

My brother Matt told me about this one, and the first thing I said was,
"Chassis too rusty? I'll be the judge of that." Never being afraid of a little rust and all that.

Than I saw the pics and for once had to agree, too rusty.

Not sure what you would do with this one, other than harvest the engine/gearbox, oh and piss off your lady putting the simulator in the living room!

There's already another thread over there wondering where to find all the vin stampings on a '65. I think we may see 301981 again some day...

Yes. RECORD the chassis number and all other pertinent information and FILE IT. This POS may rise from the ashes again if MONEY has anything to do with it (and it always does).

356's have been built with less.
