Richard "Dick" Aubele - contact details re: '65 912 painted dash

    Dear fellow Porsche fans,

I hope you can help me out: I would like to get in touch with Dick Aubele. As I found in the document file that came with my car (title), he was the owner of my '65 912 signal red, painted dash in the summer of 1991. The 912 is running great, looking great and I just would like to learn a little more about the car's history. I bought her last year in Berlin, Germany and now it resides in Cologne.

Has anyone Dick's email address? I would like to send him some recent pictures and ask him about the car and his years driving it.

    Thanks in advance.

    Simon

    Simon,

Dick Aubele is now retired up in the CA. mountains. My mechanic Richard used to work for him. I'll try to get you some info from Richard or Larry Markam this weekend. (Larry took over Dick’s shop)

    Markam Motor Works / Burbank CA. / 818- 848-4554

With all the open houses today, Lit Fair tomorrow, and Swap on Sunday…. Not many will be around to answer questions this was weekend.

    Cheers,
    Chuck

    Thank you, Chuck

    Chuck,

thank you for your answer. Hopefully after a busy weekend, someone who has Dick's email address is reading this thread.

Would be great having the chance to ask Dick some questions about the 912.

    Best,
    Simon

    Dick Aubele

I check this forum a few times a year. Just signed up to respond. Did you get in touch with my dad, Dick Aubele? He keeps pretty busy these days but I can get in touch with him as needed. He is still doing a little resto work and he has some engine parts still. I was driving a 912 around that time. I wonder if it was the same car. I think he said it went to Germany. If it is the same one, it was even used in an Armor All print ad. I may have itsomewhere. Anyway, if you still need to get in ttouch with him, feel free to send me a note. Or Larry Markham or Ed Ek can reach him also. Have a great day!

Oh. And I got a speeding ticket in that 912 (if it's the same one) on the 118 freeway in Southern California for going 57 in a 55 zone because the cop liked the car! Not enough to let me out of the ticket though! Ridiculous!

Hi, please tell Dick that Larry's friend the Dutch guy says hi. He will know who it is :-)
