    Not a particularly inspiring backdrop...….

    Constructive criticism invited.

Photography has been a passion of mine since I was 10 years old and having just acquired my Tangerine early 911 this year I was looking for opportunities to shoot it. I am honored that the photo I submitted to Chuck for consideration in the 2020 calendar made the cover. I've only started to use Lightroom to correct my RAW images recently and made the mistake of painting my Tangerine car to red. Here's a side by side of the one I submitted with the original. I'm disappointed I was not able to represent the color accurately. I'm old enough to have started shooting with film and developing my own prints in the darkroom therefore felt Photoshopping an image was altering its originality. Shooting RAW enables so much flexibility to correct however I now feel burdened by the work to process the images. Wondering if anyone feels the way and how you've been able to address.

Does your camera have the ability to shoot RAW+JPG?

Yes. I have a Nikon D810 and usually shoot both RAW and JPEG. I've started to share my JPEGs and if anyone needs for print I'll let them know I can edit/adjust.

So at least you can decide if a picture is worth putting the extra effort into.....

I think a lot has to do with which program you're using for RAW processing too. DxO seems to make a great one... And it seems quick and easy.

The pros here may be able to offer some hints on their workflows?
