    Sourcing the proper muffler, any ideas? Dansk?

    This is great advice. MFI seems to love the original mufflers. It was designed to be optimized with that muffler. Years ago I changed to a sport muffler on a 2.4S motor and spent years tinkering with the rack trying to regain the magic it had with the original muffler. I was young and stupid, I should have just put the original Leistritz back on.

    Another vote for the leistritz. Dansk work well also, and the sport version sounds pretty cool.

    Monty did make a mfi specific muffler (called a 6 baffle from memory) but I wouldn't use them unless the seller can guarantee it is for a mfi car.
