    73.5 dash leather material

    Is this the correct grain leather for a 73.5 dash? If so, can anyone suggest where to purchase more of this specific material?

    The dashes are typically vinyl. The reason they are not leather (my car came with 'full leather' which meant a vinyl dash) is that leather will shrink and warp and distort the dash. Leather looks classy but the seams will give it away as non-original. There is a manufacturer in Germany making the proper replacement dashes which are a dead ringer for your original (I have one and so does a friend). There is a dash thread floating around here with more info.

    The dash covering on my 73 911 is leather. Just in the process of replacing it. Went to a large leather company, brought the original with me. Found a perfect match.
