    WTB: 98mm tall manifolds 906/911R 2.0L

    Hi guys

I am looking for a pair of 98mm tall 911R manifolds (38mm port on 46 Weber). My current setup with 82mm PMO's does not work well at low RPM's and I want to replace them with either original magnesium 911R manifolds or good ALU repro's.

Does anyone have a good suggestion where to find this ?

Thanks for your help - much appreciated!

    Kind regards
    Dick

    Hey Dick,

I usually try to steer clear of actively trying to sell things from our store here on the forum... I just feel a little funny about using the forum as a revenue stream... buuuut, in this case we do currently have a set for sale on our online store:

They were pulled out of a race car, so they could benefit from a solid cleaning, but they are in good shape otherwise. We're asking $3,500...not exactly inexpensive, but they are the real deal, OEM Porsche not repros, and come with OEM hardware. If you're interested, please let me know as we also have them for sale on EBay.

    Cheers,

You apparently skipped "Creative Sales Training 101". You are not being self serving at all; you are genuinely trying to help out a fellow forum member while at the same time put food on the table for your own family. Don't be ashamed about sharing your bits with the rest of the community.

Well, you're right Frank, and when someone is looking for something specific, especially a rare item, I do speak-up. Just don't want to be "that guy", y'know? -Trying to follow in the carefully placed footsteps of others that I respect here on the board.

-Just to be clear, these are 911R manifolds, not 906 manifolds... The difference being that on mid-engined cars, the throttle linkage comes-in from the opposite direction.

Sorry for any confusion. I am looking for 911R tall manifold, NOT the 906 manifolds.

I am seeking to resolve a, what I believe to be, a fuel reversion problem in my engine that occurs when shifting gears full throttle. The engine 'stalls' for a second or what, waiting for air velocity to pick up again.

    Thanks - Dick

I just went through our parts spreadsheet and found that we had the incorrect part numbers on the website - we used the part numbers from the '68 Sports Purposes manual instead of looking directly at the units. Doh! We've now corrected this. The part numbers for the manifolds we have are 901-108-319-00 and 901-108-318-00 respectively. Sorry for the confusion.

Great to hear you got them home safe and sound

Sorry I wasn't able to meet you at the shop; maybe next time you're in this neck of the woods we can get together.

Let us know how they function - and if you need further assistance.

    cheers,
