    Coco's original?

Is there any documentation that would show that my '73T could have come from the factory coco mats? I have searched this forum and other places and have not been able to find a definitive answer. I have not seen this info on the lists of factory options that I have viewed, nor have I seen it on a COA or invoice. I know that they were readily available in the after market at that time.
    Can anyone help?
    Thanks,
    Tom

Tom I recall that in one of last Classic Porsche mag there was a Coco Mat advert saying that they were original equipment. It says that they were introduced by the Porsche company for the 356 and were a "factory optional accessory in the 911s".

The 1970/71 accessories folder lists them with a Photo.
But back then several aftermarket products existed and sometimes differed in design.

Great info. Thanks. Can anybody provide a scan of either of those documents? The aftermarket info won't help, but the factory info would be wonderful.

    here is a scan
    1971 Dealer binder.
Interesting to note I never saw them in flesh, the driver side includes some kind of hump piece around the shifter.
Also, SWB and +1972 Coco mat design might differs to pics listed below.

these are period (has been posted before).
Keep in mind they vary and period aftermarket got sold trough Porsche dealers.

The last two pics are of my car...from about 8years ago. I was new to long hoods back then, and didn't realize those cocos were original. So, regretably, I tossed them in the trash.
    Cheers!
