    Correct 1971 Jack

I recently bought a 1971 911 E and am trying to figure out what the correct jack that would have come with the car when it was originally purchased looks like. It's hard to tell from the photos in the owner's manual. Could someone who knows this email a photo of the correct jack to me. I'd really appreciate it.
    Thanks,
    Steve

    Hi Steve:

Happy to do this for you, if you can wait a couple of weeks for the pic. Car is stored at weekend place and we won't be going there again until Mar 23rd.

Here's the jack from my '71. Most likely original.

    Hi Mike,

Thanks for the response. That's exactly what mine looks like. I was thinking it wasn't correct since it doesn't look like the one in the owner's manual and has the little VW insignia on it, but maybe that's what came with 71s. Interesting.

My 71 has exactly the same jack as Mike's; including VW insignia. I wonder whether we are more anal about this stuff than porsche were... And they put in was readily available... I understand quite a few have VW insignia jacks.

The 700-Mile 70 S has the same VW emblem two-lever jack in it.
